After spending a full day at Universal Beijing Resort, I’m sharing the best Universal Beijing Resort tips to help you avoid long lines, find tasty snacks, and enjoy every moment hassle-free!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
- Don’t Miss Forbidden Journey : This is a must-do ride. Lockers are required before boarding, so travel light.
- Queue Times : Waits can hit 40 minutes—check the official app for live updates.
- Drinking Water : No need to bring a water bottle—there are free drinking fountains throughout the park.
- Butterbeer : ¥50 per cup. Surprisingly good! The regular one is better than the frozen version—the frozen one tastes too much like watered-down soda.
- Three Broomsticks Restaurant : Always a long line, but it moves fast. Plenty of seating. The pork ribs combo comes with two big ribs and rich sauce—better than most ribs you'll find in the city. ¥148 per set, enough for two girls to share. Highly recommended!

Minion Land
- Minion Mayhem Coaster : Adorable ride, mainly for kids.
- Minion Popsicle : Banana-flavored, ¥40. Cute and tasty.
- Popcorn Bucket : The Minion-themed car bucket is super cute but pricey at ¥195.
- Character Meet & Greets: Check the app for scheduled appearances.
Jurassic World Isla Nublar
- Pork Knuckle Rice : Available here—tastes great. There’s also a noodle shop.
- Jurassic World Adventure : Must-ride. A brand new immersive experience with incredibly realistic dinosaurs. But be warned—the queue is almost always long.
Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness
- A Great Spot to Cool Down : Most of it is indoors—perfect for a break.
- The Rides : Not particularly thrilling.
Journey of the Dragon Warrior : A gentle boat ride through animated scenes—like a mellow version of a log flume.
Kung Fu Carousel : A themed merry-go-round.
Transformers Metrobase
- Must-Ride Attractions :
Decepticoaster : Just opened! A thrilling roller coaster modeled after the Hulk coaster in Universal Orlando. Queue time was about 60 minutes in the afternoon—totally worth it.
Battle for the AllSpark : A classic Transformers-themed ride.
Bumblebee Boogie : A spinning teacup-style ride.
- Food : You’ll find burgers available here.
WaterWorld
- WaterWorld Live Show : One of the most popular shows. Arrive early—seating fills up fast and latecomers may be turned away.
Parade & Characters
- Parade Starts at 6 PM : Begins at the main gate and ends in Minion Land.
- Best Time for Street Photos : Midday around the main entrance is surprisingly quiet—great time for street shots and you might even bump into Marilyn Monroe!
Snacks vs. Restaurants
Honestly, the street snacks are better value than the restaurants. Try these:
- Hot Dogs
- Cheese Corn Dogs
- Popcorn
- Turkey Legs
- Grilled Chicken Drumsticks
- Satay Chicken Skewers
- Ice Cream & Popsicles
Transportation & Entry
- Subway Line 7 : Super convenient—the station is right at the park entrance.
- Face Scan Entry : Upload your ID photo in advance and you can enter with facial recognition—no need to bring your passport or ID.
Sunset & Atmosphere
The sunset is stunning, and you'll often see planes soaring overhead, adding to the cinematic vibe. It's giving serious Tonglifornia (通利福尼亚) energy—a nickname blending Tongzhou District and California!
Final Tips
Wear comfortable shoes, travel light, and be prepared for 20,000+ steps in a day. Stay hydrated and take breaks—your feet will thank you!
