Chengdu is suitable for travel year-round, with mild, humid weather and changing seasonal scenery.

By Air
Chengdu currently has two operating airports :

Shuangliu International Airport (Shuāngliú Guójì Jīchǎng, 双流国际机场): The older airport, closer to downtown with convenient connections. Flights cover major cities like Beijing (both Capital and Daxing), Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Lhasa, Shanghai (Hongqiao & Pudong), Hangzhou, and Shenyang.

Tianfu International Airport (Tiānfǔ Guójì Jīchǎng, 天府国际机场): The newer, more modern airport, located in Jianyang (简阳市) about 50 km from the city center. Connected by Metro Line 18 , it handles flights to cities such as Tianjin, Kunming, Guangzhou, and Xiamen.
