Name and beach area
Longfengtou Beach is in Haitan Subdistrict, about 1.5 kilometers from the county town. It is also commonly referred to as Longfengtou Seaside Bathing Beach and Longwangtou Beach. In local use, these names generally point to the same east-facing county-town beach area or adjoining sections. Plan it as one beach area and confirm the actual entrance and facilities from where you arrive.
The beach is free, open all day, and does not require a reservation. The front gate and west entrance are common access points, and arriving before 05:00 works for sunrise. Water activities, foot-washing points, chairs, and other facilities are not part of one standard free-beach package.
How to use this page
This page is another name and access entry for the county-town beach area, with the focus on the relevant entrance, transport from town, and a short sunrise stop. It is not a second independent beach, and it does not have another sunrise route or separate ticket.
For a fuller beach visit, choose the boardwalk, water activities, or public beach section according to the actual entrance within the same county-town beach area. Confirm the open area, parking, and facilities on site.

Sunrise on the east-facing coast
The east-facing coast works for early-morning sunrise, with the eastern rocks and beach both serving as public viewing areas. Around 05:00 is a summer reference and around 06:30 a winter reference; the date, cloud, and visibility affect the actual view.
Longfengtou and Longwangtou are often overlapping names locally. There is no need to travel again in search of a "second beach." Enter through the nearest open entrance and choose a safe beach or rock position.
Beach, boardwalk, and activities
This county-town beach has a relatively complete public beach and nearby facilities. It works for walking, a short break, and water activities that are operating that day. Jet skis, sailing, beach carts, and similar activities are paid separately; confirm operating hours, prices, and life jackets on site.
The beach is broad and some areas are gently sloped, but entering the water still depends on the tide, wind, waves, weather, and local safety management. Families can choose a public section near the entrance, while adults should also stay away from deep water and slippery rocks.
Nighttime viewing
The beach is close to the county town, making a nighttime Blue Tears visit easy to add when conditions look promising. Blue Tears depends on the season, wind direction, tide, and water temperature; the overlapping name and location do not mean it will appear every night.
Bring a light, shoes with good grip, and a power bank after dark. Return to town when there are no recent observations, wind and waves are strengthening, or the site displays a safety notice.
Build your day
Sunrise short route: about 1-2 hours
Reach the eastern public beach or rocks before sunrise, wait for the light, walk along the sand, and then return to the county town for breakfast or continue to the north or south. Choose the entrance according to parking and road conditions that day; there is no need to remain in a queue at the front gate when another open entrance is more practical.
Confirm the next transfer promptly after sunrise, especially if you plan to continue to the north or south. With poor weather, stronger waves, or slippery rocks, return from the public beach area.
Half-day county-town beach route
Walk on the public beach in the morning, choose a water activity or vintage-style facility that is open, have lunch in town, and spend the afternoon on the boardwalk or another public coastal area. Confirm the price and safety equipment for each activity separately, and skip it if conditions are unsuitable.
This route overlaps the main sunrise area described on the Longwangtou Beach page. Do not schedule two separate sunrises for the two names. Allocate time to one county-town beach area and use the rest of the day elsewhere.
Nighttime Blue Tears plan
From April to August, current observations may help you decide whether to visit the public beach after 21:00 for Blue Tears. If nothing appears, return to town. Do not go into unlit rocks or toward the surf in search of glowing water.
Returns are relatively easy for visitors staying in town, but holiday traffic can still be heavy. Confirm the walking route and vehicle before leaving. With older adults or children, keep nighttime viewing earlier and closer to easy transport.
Get there
Pingtan Station, buses, and electric scooters
A taxi from Pingtan Station to the county-town beach commonly takes about 15 minutes, with a fare reference of around CNY 10-15. Buses 18 and 530 reach the area, and shared electric bicycles are flexible within town. Walk from the stop according to the entrance direction.
Longfengtou, Longwangtou, and Longwangtou North Parking Lot may refer to different navigation points within the same beach area. Choose the parking or drop-off point before leaving, then follow the signs into the public area.
Driving and parking
When driving, navigate to "Longwangtou Seaside Bathing Beach" or "Longwangtou North Parking Lot." The front gate is often congested in peak season. The north parking lot and west entrance can usually avoid some of the front-gate traffic, but actual parking availability depends on the day.
The official parking reference is about CNY 5 per hour, capped at about CNY 30 per day. Parking, foot washing, water activities, and other services are separate charges, so confirm the cost before choosing a service.
Know before you go
Overlapping names and visit planning
Longfengtou and Longwangtou overlap in local usage. The two names mainly point to different access angles within the same beach area. Once you reach one open entrance, plan the same county-town beach area from there; there is no need to buy another ticket or wait for a second sunrise.
The public beach is free, while facilities, activities, and services are separate. Checking the entrance, parking, and on-site signs matters more than searching for a completely different "other beach."
Water, nighttime, and spending
Water activities and entering the sea depend on the tide, wind, waves, weather, and local safety management. Confirm the life jacket and price before joining. An adult should watch children by the water throughout; stay on the sand or boardwalk when conditions are unsuitable.
Blue Tears is not a fixed nighttime event. Chase groups or services promising a sighting are not a basis for the itinerary. Confirm prices for food, photography, foot washing, and beach facilities separately; roadside seafood and service offers should not replace a planned meal.
