How to Visit
1

Take a taxi from Gangu Station to Jiangjia Village in Liufeng Town, and arrange the return journey in advance.

A one-way taxi is about CNY 30; a round-trip hired car is usually CNY 60-100. Local ride-hailing and return vehicles are limited.

Tip:Do not arrange only the outbound journey. Calling a car from the village after the visit may involve a long wait.
2

Visit the Jiang Wei Memorial Hall first, then walk uphill to the ceremonial tomb.

Entry is free and no reservation is needed. Hours are 08:30-18:00, with a 12:00-14:30 closure. Allow about 1-1.5 hours in total.

Tip:Arriving at midday may prevent entry to the memorial hall, so plan for the morning or after 14:30.
3

Walk from the memorial hall up the slope to the tomb garden, then return by the same route.

The path from the memorial hall to the tomb is a steep 8-15-minute walk. The site is a commemorative ceremonial tomb and is best approached as a straightforward historical visit.

Tip:Do not ride an e-bike downhill on this slope. Wear non-slip shoes and take extra care after rain.
4

Treat Jiang Mu Cave as optional rather than part of the essential route.

The related site is partway up the hillside and the path can be narrow and muddy. If time is limited, complete the memorial hall and tomb garden, then return.

Tip:Do not enter unsuitable hillside paths simply to add another stop, and do not present local folklore as confirmed history.
Highlights
  • Jiang Wei Tomb is a ceremonial tomb built to commemorate the Shu Han general Jiang Wei, making it a quiet stop for Three Kingdoms history.
  • The compact Jiang Wei Memorial Hall has a 2.7-metre statue of Jiang Wei and can be visited together with the tomb garden.
  • Nine stone steps and the hillside path create a clear route through the memorial site.
  • The hillside offers views over the Wei River valley after the tomb visit.
  • Three Kingdoms-themed murals in Jiangjia Village are an optional addition while arriving or leaving, rather than a reason for a separate long stop.
Insider Tips

This is not a large scenic area. Focus on the memorial hall and ceremonial tomb; no religious ritual is needed.

The memorial hall’s midday closure directly affects the route, so avoid arriving between 12:00 and 14:30.

There is no dependable food supply on the hill; bring water from Gangu Station or the county town.

If combining this stop with Daxiangshan on the same day, confirm the driver’s waiting time. Do not rely on seamless last-minute public transport between the two.

Do not leave flags, paper or other items around the tomb garden; keeping the memorial site clean is sufficient.
