Plan at a glance
Canyon scenery and rides
Benxi Grand Canyon (本溪大峡谷) combines dramatic canyon views with cliffside adventure rides. Highlights include the Glass Suspension Bridge (玻璃悬索桥) high above the valley, the Jungle Slide (丛林滑道), the Flying Wing ride (高空飞翼), the Skywalk (空中漫步), a cliff swing (悬崖秋千) and the Qicai Yunduan (七彩云端) water slide. Other experiences include viewpoints, the Cloud Ladder (云梯), a cliff rope swing (悬崖荡绳) and a mountain coaster (山地滑车).
Time and ticket types
How long you stay depends on whether you focus on the scenery or join the rides, and is also affected by queues and which equipment is operating. Check entrance tickets, ride bundles and individual activities separately, and confirm what is included for your travel date.

Choose your visit
Canyon views and the glass bridge
For canyon views, focus on the glass suspension bridge and the viewpoints along it. Trails in the park include slopes and steps, so even a visit focused on scenery involves mountain walking. Wear shoes suitable for uneven trails.
The glass suspension bridge offers views into the valley. The Flying Wing ride, skywalk, cliff swing and zipline are aerial adventures. Anyone who is afraid of heights can stay in the viewing areas.
Try an aerial or sliding ride
The cliff swing, Flying Wing ride, skywalk, zipline and downhill slides offer experiences of varying intensity. Before trying an aerial or fast ride, consider whether it is suitable for your health and allow time for queues and switching between activities.
The Jungle Slide and Qicai Yunduan water slide offer separate sliding experiences. Whether they suit you depends on the equipment operating that day and each ride’s entry requirements.
A lighter walk without the rides
If you are skipping the rides, spend your time around the bridge and the open canyon viewpoints. If your group splits up, agree on a meeting point and make sure anyone who is not comfortable with aerial or fast rides can remain on the walking trails.
For a separate forest-and-valley visit in Nanfen, see Dabinggou Geological and Forest Park.
Build your day
Choose activities after entering
Starting at the entrance, use the day’s map to choose the bridge area and canyon viewpoints, then decide whether to try any aerial or sliding rides. The order in which activities open and the queue lengths affect when you can leave. Allow extra flexibility if you want to try several rides.
Take a slide down the mountain
If you plan to take the Jungle Slide or Qicai Yunduan water slide downhill, confirm the endpoint, operating hours and whether it connects to your planned exit. Arrange your return transfer separately.
Get there
Driving and navigation
Search for “本溪大峡谷景区” (“Benxi Grand Canyon Scenic Area”) in your navigation app. The address is Jiefang Village (解放村), Guojia Subdistrict (郭家办事处), Nanfen District. On arrival, follow signs to the parking area, then walk or take a transfer into the park. Check parking charges and availability on site that day.
Transfers from railway stations
A tourist shuttle has operated from Benxi Railway Station (本溪站) to the canyon, and transfers have also been arranged from Nanfenbei Railway Station (南芬北站) during holidays. Routes and departure times may change by date. If you are not driving, confirm the outbound service, last return and drop-off point before setting out. If no suitable service runs both ways, book a transfer in advance.
Know before you go
Tickets and ride requirements
Compare the entrance ticket, bridge ticket, ride bundles and individual activities, including their change, cancellation and reservation terms. The cliff swing, bungee jump (蹦极) and zipline each have their own height, weight and health requirements. Follow the safety rules for each ride rather than relying on a single weight limit circulating online.
Weather and events
Thunderstorms, strong winds or equipment maintenance may suspend aerial rides and slides. Festival performances and interactive activities run on scheduled dates, not every day. Before planning an evening visit or a show, confirm the finish time and return service for that day.
The scenic area information number is 024-43855588. International visitors using a passport as ID should check which documents are accepted, what payment methods are available and how tickets are verified on arrival.
