Buy a timed online ticket matching your identity document
Select the passport ticket type if you are travelling on a foreign passport and choose an entry slot before arriving.
Tip:The park uses real-name, timed entry, so a document or entrance mismatch can delay entry that day.

Enter through the Central Gate, then choose how to reach the lake area
Follow the entrance shown on the reservation and decide whether to walk or use the scenic shuttle to the Crescent Lake core area.
Tip:The shuttle, camel rides, sand sliding, and other activities are not included in the basic ticket, so do not treat them as a package.

Save energy for the dune climb if that is your priority
Reach the Crescent Lake area first, then use an open sand-climbing route rather than walking across the sand for the whole route.
Tip:A full sand walk adds substantial effort; avoid forcing a climb in high heat and carry enough water.

Plan the climb for later in the day
Leave enough time to descend and exit after the dune climb; ticket sales and entry operate from 05:00 to 20:30.
Tip:Being allowed to enter does not mean you can stay indefinitely.

Use the three-day validity only when it fits your itinerary
Tickets are valid for three days from purchase and allow multiple entries during ticket-checking hours, so you can split the lake view and dune climb across two visits.
