Plan at a glance
Market location and scope
Yucun Cultural Market is in the Yucun area at the foot of Moganshan. Its focus is the cultural market, shops, food, former factories and cultural spaces. It is geographically close to Yucun Scenic Area and can be planned around the shops and spaces open that day; Yucun in Anji is elsewhere.
The market and public streets are generally free to walk. Shops, exhibitions, shows and food operate separately. A quick walk takes about 2 hours; allow half a day to a full day if you want several cultural spaces and time to rest in the district.
Opening arrangements
The public streets can be walked throughout the day, while shops and the market often operate from daytime into the evening. Exact hours, weekend activities and night markets may change. One shop's hours do not define whether the entire Yucun area is open.
The market does not provide the transfer service for Moganshan's summit. The mountain ticket and shuttle are separate. If you are also going up that day, confirm the transfer-centre location and last vehicle first, then decide how long to stay at the market.

Market shops and former-factory spaces
The cultural market suits visitors who enjoy crafts, local creative products, reused historic buildings and relaxed street walks. The old station, old department store, cultural spaces, art exhibitions and shops may be spread across different streets, with content and opening following that day's business arrangements.
Treat the building exteriors and public streets as the stable part of the visit, and shopping and indoor exhibitions as optional. If one shop closes or changes its business, the overall district walk can still continue.
Who this suits
The market suits creative-district enthusiasts, visitors interested in coffee and local design, families and people looking for a break before or after going up the mountain. Visitors who do not enjoy commercial spaces or want intensive outdoor activity can make it a short stop.
Yucun Cultural Market and Yucun Scenic Area are next to each other, so there is no need to plan two full itineraries for the same streets. Choose the market, old station or plane-tree roads as the main focus according to your interests.
Build your day
About 2 hours: short market route
Enter from Yucun Square or a public parking area, see the old station and old department store first, then follow the Republican-era streets to the cultural market and finish with a break in a public area or the return. If the shops are not open yet, start with the building exteriors and street route.
When weekend crowds or shop queues build up, move to the next public street rather than blocking an entrance or photo position. Give shopping, coffee and exhibitions their own time instead of placing everything immediately before the return.
Half-day cultural-district route
Start at the square and old station, enter the creative shops, art spaces or exhibitions open that day, then take a slow afternoon walk along the plane-tree roads and public streamside areas before finishing around Yujie. The length of indoor stops depends on the exhibition and crowds.
With children or older adults, schedule an indoor break before returning to the outdoor streets. The market area is not large, but lanes, shops and rest spots are spread out, so leave time for meeting and the return.
Night options
Night lighting, bands, markets and shows may appear only on certain dates. Decide whether to attend based on that day's arrangement. If there is no night activity, the public streets still work for a short walk, but pay attention to lighting, shared vehicle space and return transport.
Get there
Deqing Station and driving
From Deqing Station, a taxi to Yucun takes about 30 minutes. You can also use the Y1 tourist line if it is running that day. For driving, navigate to the public parking area or the parking building near Yujie, then enter the market on foot.
Free parking spaces may fill quickly on holidays, so prioritise clearly marked parking. Do not park at a shop entrance, village road or private lot just because the market shops are close to the road.
Connecting with the summit
To reach the Moganshan summit from the market, go to the transfer centre and take the shuttle. Confirm vehicles, tickets and the last descent before going up; do not walk along an unclear mountain road from the market to the summit.
Know before you go
Shops, shows and spending
Shops, cafés, bakeries, exhibition venues and weekend activities operate separately. Prices, minimum spending, opening hours and exhibition content may change. Check the conditions before entering, and if you only want exterior photographs, keep the customer and shop passage clear.
The market experience does not need to revolve around one shop or one show. If a business changes, the old station, plane-tree roads, public square and other open spaces remain available.
Parking and walking
After parking, move mainly on foot and slow down on gravel, steps and shared pedestrian–vehicle sections. Public streets and the streamside may be slippery in rain; children should not run in vehicle lanes or at shop entrances.
With luggage, reduce cross-district transfers and confirm the direction to your accommodation or return first. The market, Yucun Scenic Area and summit attractions are close but have different boundaries, so include the full page name in navigation.
