松潘古城

Use it as a base, not a full destination
Songpan is most useful between Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Munigou, and Chengdu rail travel. Plan a short walk, meal, and overnight stop rather than a full sightseeing day.
Adjust for the wall closure
The streets remain usable, but the ancient city-wall scenic area is closed for upgrades through Jun 30, 2026. Do not build your plan around climbing the wall before reopening.
Walk the central streets and eat locally
Use the town for yak-beef hotpot, noodles, small cafes, and basic supplies. Prices and food options are often easier than inside Jiuzhaigou resort areas.
Keep onward transport clear
Confirm the next bus, taxi, or charter route to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Munigou, or the railway station before you settle in for dinner.
