On clear dry-season mornings, arrive early enough for calm water and snow-mountain light before the park becomes busy.
Add the cultural buildings
After the photo stop, walk through Deyue Tower, Wufeng Tower, Longshen Temple, and nearby museum areas if open.
Climb only if you have energy
Elephant Hill adds a longer uphill walk and broader views, but it is not necessary for a short first visit.
