How to Visit

Go late afternoon
This timing lets you see the gold tower in daylight, look over Mangshi from the hill, and stay for the lights after dark.
Tip:Midday sun is harsh on the exposed hilltop.

Decide how to go uphill
Taxi is simplest. E-bike is flexible if you are comfortable riding uphill. Self-drive is possible, but weekend and holiday access can be controlled near the top.
Tip:Do not count on parking at the final gate during busy periods.

Walk clockwise and use the viewpoints
Move around the pagoda slowly, use the viewing platforms, and keep time for the city panorama rather than only taking front-door photos.
Tip:Respect worshippers and avoid loud posing near religious areas.

Pair it with the Silver Pagoda
The Silver Pagoda is nearby and works well after the Golden Pagoda. Treat the two as one hill route instead of two separate taxi trips.
