Location and visitor access
The Dajin Deshengtuo Stele (大金得胜陀颂碑) is in the Dajinbei Wetland Tourist Area, in the Desheng Town area of Fuyu, Songyuan, Jilin Province. It is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level. In a 2025 tourism itinerary, the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism placed the Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall in the same area, about 1.5 km east of Shibei Village. Earlier local gazetteer materials use the place name Shibeiwazi Village.
For map navigation, search for “大金得胜陀颂碑” or “大金碑湿地旅游区.” Then check the map destination and the entrance open to visitors on site. The sources use different village names and historical distance references, so neither is suitable for locating the exact entrance.
The Dajinbei Wetland Tourist Area is in Fuyu and requires a separate road journey. If travelling from Chagan Lake, check the driving distance and return time first.
Opening and visit arrangements
Check the opening arrangements for the stele display area and the Fuyu Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall separately. No reliable notice confirms that both are open every day.

The Chinese and Jurchen inscriptions
The main feature is the Jin-dynasty Dajin Deshengtuo Stele, designated a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level in 1988. The front face carries Chinese text and the reverse carries Jurchen text, recording founding-era history associated with Jin founder Wanyan Aguda. The original stele has long had protective structures around it. The visible surfaces and viewing distance depend on the protection measures in place on the day.
Dajin Desheng Pavilion
The tourist area also has historic-style buildings, including Dajin Desheng Pavilion. Historical sources separately describe the protective pavilion for the original stele, the later-built Dajin Desheng Pavilion and the exhibition hall. These facilities serve different protection and display purposes. Follow on-site signs for access to the buildings and their interiors.
Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall
The Fuyu Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall is also in the tourist area. A provincial tourism itinerary describes more than 150 Liao- and Jin-period pottery, porcelain, bronze, iron and stone objects, as well as animal models. It may suit visitors who want to combine an outdoor stele visit with an indoor exhibition.
The outdoor cultural relic display area and the exhibition hall have separate opening arrangements; check each before your visit.
For a separate Buddhist heritage visit in Fuyu, see Ciyun Temple.
Build your day
Short stele visit, about 30 minutes
On arrival at the Dajinbei Wetland Tourist Area, first confirm whether the cultural relic display area is open to visitors. If it is open, follow on-site directions and view the visible surfaces from permitted areas while reading the historical information. Allow about 30 minutes for the main visit. If protective structures obscure part of the stele, use the area visible on the day as your guide.
Afterwards, return by the marked route to the entrance or parking area before continuing your journey. Do not enter closed areas to try to see the reverse of the stele.
Add the exhibition hall
If the Fuyu Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall is open that day, you can combine its exhibits with the outdoor cultural relic display area. Check the opening hours, last admission and access signs for both places before deciding the order.
Time inside the hall depends on that day’s opening arrangements and how long you want to spend with the exhibits. If the hall is closed, visit only the outdoor areas that are explicitly open, then follow the signs out.
Get there
Navigation and arrival
After reaching the map marker, check on-site signs to confirm that it is an entrance open to visitors. Park only in designated areas and do not drive into the cultural relic protection zone. From the parking area, follow signs to the open stele display area or exhibition hall.
Public transport and return trip
Provincial tourism itineraries list travel by train or coach to Fuyu, but no fixed local bus route, departure time or last service to the stele site is available. If using public transport, arrange the final connection from Fuyu Coach Station to the tourist area and confirm your return service.
Know before you go
Confirm opening before travelling
The stele display area and the Fuyu Liao-Jin Historical Relics Exhibition Hall may have different opening arrangements. Reliable, consistent information is not available for their current opening days, free admission policy, reservation requirements or last admission time.
If you plan to visit both the stele and the indoor exhibition hall, aim to arrive in the morning. Before setting out, confirm separately whether each is open that day, whether reservations are required and what the admission hours are. Treat map markers as location references only; follow the operator’s advice on entry arrangements.
Cultural relics and visitor boundaries
Follow on-site rules when viewing the stele and its protective structures. Do not touch the stone or cross barriers. Whether the original can be viewed up close and whether both sides of the inscription are visible depend on the protection measures in place.
Supplies and itinerary planning
The site is in a township area of Fuyu. Plan it as a separate heritage visit and bring drinking water and basic supplies. Reliable details about nearby dining, parking and accessibility facilities are not available; contact the site in advance if you have specific needs.
