Set the right elephant expectation

Wild elephants move freely, so sightings are not guaranteed. Plan the visit around the rainforest route and elephant education, not a promised wild-elephant photo.

Pick south-to-north or north-to-south

South gate to north gate is easier for a general visit. North gate first is better if your main goal is to spend more time near the elevated viewing boardwalk.

Use the elevated boardwalk slowly

The boardwalk is the main wild-elephant viewing area. Walk quietly, scan the forest below, and give yourself time rather than rushing through.

Decide on the cableway

The cableway gives a canopy view and saves walking, but it is not a reliable way to see wild elephants. Buy it for the forest view, not for a guaranteed sighting.

Handle animal interactions carefully

If you watch shows or paid feeding, keep the visit calm and avoid encouraging unsafe contact. Families can still use the education displays and butterfly or reptile areas.
