Choose Your Hiking Route

One-Day Tour

If you plan to hike up and down in a single day, there are generally two options :
  1. Cable + Hike (Easier Option): Combine a cable car ride with walking. This is the most popular choice for cost, time, and fatigue management. A recommended route:
West Peak Cable Up → Cliffside Plank Walk → East Peak → Central Peak → West Peak → North Peak Cable Down
  2. Hike for Sunrise (Hardcore Option): Pure hiking is usually for those who want to catch the sunrise. This involves night hiking , starting from the mountain gate at night, climbing to East Peak Chaoyang Terrace (东峰朝阳台, Dōng Fēng Cháoyáng Tái) to watch the sunrise, and then hiking back down.
💡 Sunrise Tips: Sunrise times vary by season. Check sunrise schedules and weather in advance for proper planning.
For a more relaxed experience: take the cable car to North Peak in the afternoon, hike to East Peak in about three hours, find a good spot to sit, and wait for roughly six hours to enjoy the sunrise.

Two-Day Tour

For a two-day tour , you can enjoy a more leisurely pace while still catching the sunrise. Since sunrise is best viewed from East Peak , it’s recommended to stay overnight at East Peak.
Suggested route:
West Peak Cable Up → Cliffside Plank Walk → East Peak (overnight & sunrise) → Central Peak → West Peak → North Peak Cable Down
⚠️ Accommodation Tips: Lodging on Hua Shan is basic — usually dormitory-style or hostel rooms , with very low temperatures. Food and water on the mountain are expensive, so bring adequate clothing and snacks.

Hua Shan Tickets & Discounts

Due to the complexity of Hua Shan (华山, Huà Shān) , there are multiple types of tickets.
