How to Visit
1

Enter from the Fotuguan / south-gate side if doing the classic walk

A practical route is Fotuguan Park south gate, Eling plank walkway, Eling Park, Shisheng Bridge, Eling Villa, lotus pond, Kansheng Tower, then exit near the main gate.

This avoids backtracking
2

Use the plank walkway for the skyline angle

The suspended walkway gives a modern city-and-river perspective, but skip it if you are uncomfortable with height or if access is limited.

Good photo section, not mandatory
3

Add Kansheng Tower only if it is open and useful that day

The tower is the highest viewpoint inside the park, but opening and access rules can vary. The park still works as a garden and citywalk stop without it.

Do not make the whole visit depend on one tower
4

Continue downhill toward Eling Second Factory or Liziba

After the park, you can continue to Eling Second Factory Creative Park and then toward Liziba for a classic Chongqing layered-city route.

Strong citywalk extension
Highlights
  • Free central high-point park with river and skyline views
  • Eling plank walkway for a more modern photo angle
  • Historic garden atmosphere around Eling Villa and older park structures
  • Easy connection to Eling Second Factory and Liziba
  • Less commercially intense than Hongyadong or Jiefangbei
Insider Tips

Wear flat shoes; the route still includes slopes and steps.

Go on a clear day if views matter to you.

If you dislike heights, stay inside the park and skip the plank walkway.

Morning light is calmer; late afternoon is better for atmosphere.

Some park areas can be under maintenance, so keep the route flexible.
