Plan at a glance
Location and visit scope
China Bamboo Expo Park is at No. 1 Zhuyuan Road, Lingfeng Subdistrict, Anji County, Huzhou. It is an independent attraction focused on bamboo groves, pandas, the Bamboo Museum and family activities. It is a different attraction from China Great Bamboo Sea, with separate tickets, entrances and park arrangements.
Allow about 3–5 hours for a first visit. More time is needed if you want to see the pandas, museum, pet area and outdoor rides. There are walking distances between the main entrance, Panda House, Bamboo Museum and other areas, so include in-park transport and breaks when travelling with children.
Tickets and opening arrangements
For daytime planning, allow roughly 8:00–17:00; last admission may be earlier. The museum, shows, animal interactions and rides may each have their own hours. Confirm the scope of the basic ticket, sightseeing vehicle, panda-related transport, feeding and paid activities separately.
Panda activity, displays, shows and animal interactions change with the season, maintenance and the day's arrangements. Do not assume that a project name guarantees a particular panda, show or feeding session.

Panda House and Bamboo Museum
China Bamboo Expo Park suits families who want to see pandas, learn about bamboo culture and walk through bamboo groves. Put Panda House earlier in the route if possible; the Bamboo Museum offers indoor education and a place to rest, which is useful in heat or rain.
The Bamboo Museum covers bamboo materials, crafts and related education, with displays subject to change. Visitors focused only on pandas can shorten the other sections; families and nature enthusiasts should leave time for the bamboo paths and museum.
Pet area and outdoor activities
The park may have pet interactions, non-powered play areas, go-karts and other family activities, each with different age, height, price and opening conditions. Animal interactions must follow the park's feed and on-site rules; do not use food brought from outside.
Bamboo paths are best walked slowly in good weather, with more shade in summer, but mosquitoes and wet surfaces still require attention. The visit does not depend on one show or one animal; if an activity changes, the bamboo and museum route can still be completed.
Who this suits
Families, panda enthusiasts, visitors interested in bamboo culture and people looking for an easy Anji walk are a good fit. Some areas are level, while some activities and paths involve longer transfers, making a stroller and comfortable shoes useful.
If you want intense rides or only a brief photo stop, the educational and walking content may be more than you need. Decide whether the panda, museum or bamboo grove is the main goal before adding paid activities.
Build your day
About 3 hours: pandas and museum
After entering, go to Panda House first, then continue to Panda Park or another family area according to the day's opening schedule. Visit the China Bamboo Museum indoors afterward and return to the exit. Panda activity changes with time and weather; a morning visit often leaves more time to observe, but the animals may not be active throughout.
With children, schedule a break between Panda House and the museum. Confirm whether in-park transport is running and where it stops that day; keep walking as the basic plan.
About 4–5 hours: pandas, bamboo and family activities
See the pandas in the morning, then walk or use an available sightseeing vehicle to reach the pet area. Rest around midday, visit the Bamboo Museum and finish with Squirrel Tribe, Panda Park or another outdoor activity based on the children's energy. Put shows and interactions only into time slots you have confirmed, rather than repeatedly returning for an uncertain performance.
If a hall or activity closes that day, use the bamboo paths and public garden areas instead. Before leaving, confirm the exit and parking area; the walk inside may be longer than a straight-line estimate on the entrance map.
A slower route for hot weather
In hot weather, start with the bamboo grove and Panda House, then place the Bamboo Museum in the afternoon to reduce continuous time in unshaded areas. Choose pet interactions and outdoor rides according to the child's condition, and bring water, sun protection and insect repellent.
Summer mosquitoes, rain and slippery surfaces affect the paths. During thunderstorms or when the ground is wet, use open indoor areas first and do not chase children near the bamboo edges or water.
Get there
From Anji Station
From Anji Station, take a taxi to China Bamboo Expo Park; the ride takes about 30 minutes. Buses from Anji town also serve the Bamboo Expo Park area, but a taxi involves fewer transfers with children or luggage. Search for China Bamboo Expo Park or its main entrance to avoid confusing it with China Great Bamboo Sea.
For driving, navigate to the attraction's parking area and walk to the main entrance. The entrance and parking area may be crowded on holidays, so arriving early is more reliable than searching for an informal space nearby.
Moving inside the park
Ordinary sightseeing vehicles, panda-related vehicles and walking routes may have different stopping areas. Before boarding, confirm the drop-off stop, return stop and whether a separate ticket is required. One vehicle route cannot be assumed to provide a park-wide shuttle.
Know before you go
Changes to pandas, displays and shows
Panda activity, hall opening, the Bamboo Museum's closing days, show times and outdoor activities may all change. Treat Panda House and the Bamboo Museum as the main goals before leaving, and decide on other activities based on what is open that day.
The park may show different animals or change its displays. A particular panda, show or feeding session cannot be promised. If conditions change, the bamboo paths and museum education still have value on their own.
Animal-interaction rules
Pet feeding follows the park's designated feed and areas. Do not give animals carrots, snacks or other food brought from outside. An adult should accompany children near animals; do not reach over fences or chase animals.
Interaction conditions and prices can differ between animal areas. Read the signs before entering, and leave immediately when staff ask visitors to stop. Do not keep approaching an animal for a photograph.
Bamboo, sun and supplies
Bamboo sections may have mosquitoes, and water and stone paths can be slippery after rain. Wear shoes with good grip and bring insect repellent. Summer sun is strong outdoors; cool down in the museum or a rest area before continuing the walk.
Food, convenience shops and rest spots inside may change. Bring water and a simple snack for a longer visit. Before leaving, confirm the direction to your car, taxi or next attraction; Anji attractions are spread out, so avoid adding several cross-area stops at the last minute.
