Location and park scope

China Great Bamboo Sea is in Wuhe Village, Tianhuangping Town, Anji County, Huzhou. It is an independent attraction centred on bamboo paths, hillside scenery and higher viewpoints. It is different from China Bamboo Expo Park, whose pandas and museum have separate tickets and in-park arrangements; one park's ticket or transport cannot be used to infer the other's.

The basic paths suit about 2–4 hours. Glass bridges, carts, slides and other separately charged facilities require extra time for tickets and queues. The mountain paths have slopes, so assess the ascent and descent before travelling with children or older adults.

Tickets and opening arrangements

For daytime planning, allow roughly 8:00–17:00; last admission may be earlier. The main ticket usually covers entry and the basic paths, while glass bridges, carts, slides and other transport or activities are separate. The exact ticket follows the option sold that day.

Film-location information, glass facilities, viewpoints and mountain paths may change with maintenance, weather and crowds. Visitors who only want the basic bamboo route can skip the additional activities and plan around their energy.

Bamboo paths and the Bamboo Viewing Tower

China Great Bamboo Sea suits visitors who enjoy bamboo groves, mountain walking and a relatively short outdoor route. The bamboo corridor, stones or platforms associated with filming locations, Bamboo Viewing Tower and smaller bamboo paths form the main content. The scenery changes with weather, visibility and season.

The higher points such as the Bamboo Viewing Tower require climbing or an in-park activity. Check the day's opening and physical demands before choosing. Visitors who only want the bamboo can use the basic paths without taking every facility to a high point.

Separately charged mountain activities

The glass bridge, bamboo cart and slide suit visitors willing to pay extra, queue and handle height or changes in speed. Their prices, opening, capacity and weather requirements are managed separately, and all of them may not operate.

If an activity closes or the queue is too long, the basic bamboo paths remain available. With children or older adults, start with the gentler sections and decide later about the bridge, cart or slide.

Who this suits

Bamboo enthusiasts, light-hiking visitors, people interested in traditional-costume or architectural photography and families are a good fit. It also works as a half-day stop on an Anji driving route, but is less suitable for visitors unwilling to use slopes or expecting every activity to be included in admission.

Build your day

About 2–3 hours: basic bamboo route

After entering, follow the Bamboo Corridor and basic paths, pass the main stones or platforms and decide based on your energy whether to continue to the Bamboo Viewing Tower, then return toward the entrance. This is mainly a walking route for visitors who are not buying additional activities.

Bamboo paths may be muddy after rain, so do not rush back to the next attraction. If fog is heavy at higher points or the path is wet, turn around at a safe place; the basic route is still complete.

About 4 hours: bamboo and activities

On a first visit with activities, walk through the bamboo and the Wunv Spring area first, then schedule the cart or slide according to the queue and your energy. After going higher, continue to the Bamboo Viewing Tower and other open viewpoints. Glass bridges and similar activities need separate time for buying, queueing and returning.

Confirm the descent method in advance. The cart, slide, walking route and other transport may not use the same route, so agree on a meeting point when travelling with children or a larger group.

Easy family hike

With children, choose the bamboo paths, Wunv Spring and non-powered activity areas first, and leave high-altitude activities optional. Steps, wet stones and slopes add difficulty. If a child is tired, return from the nearest exit rather than continuing uphill to complete a loop.

Get there

Driving and public transport

Driving to China Great Bamboo Sea is convenient. Search for the main entrance and avoid confusing it with China Bamboo Expo Park, Hidden Dragon Waterfalls or another bamboo attraction. A journey of about 1.5 hours from Hangzhou or 2.5 hours from Shanghai is only a planning estimate; holiday traffic and mountain roads may add time.

From Anji Station, a taxi to the attraction takes about 40 minutes. Public transport involves transfers and takes longer, so arrange the return vehicle in advance. Do not turn onto an unconfirmed mountain road or private parking area looking for a shortcut.

Parking and in-park movement

Park in an official area, then walk or use the attraction's transport arrangements. Carts, slides and other facilities serve their own routes; confirm the boarding and drop-off points before buying or boarding.

Know before you go

Paid activities and basic paths

The main ticket, glass bridge, cart, slide and other facilities are separate arrangements. Visitors who only want the bamboo walk can choose basic admission. For an activity, confirm the price, direction, height or safety conditions; one activity ticket does not show that other facilities are included.

The basic paths and high-altitude activities require different levels of effort. If queues are long, the weather deteriorates or someone feels unwell, keep the bamboo walk and skip the additional activity; the itinerary still works.

Mountain paths, rain and equipment

Bamboo stone paths, glass facilities and hillside roads may be slippery after rain, so wear sports shoes with good grip. Bring insect repellent, sun protection and water in summer, and do not run on wet steps.

Glass bridges, carts and slides may change with wind, rain, maintenance and crowds. When visibility is poor at a high point, do not stand outside the railings or near a dangerous edge for a photograph.

Vehicle and parking boundaries

Do not use an unconfirmed side road to avoid the admission area, and do not use private parking or unofficial access. Park officially and enter through the public entrance. Follow marked roads on the return and slow down on wet mountain sections.
