Location and entrance
Unique Dream of Red Mansion (只有红楼梦·戏剧幻城) is at 268 Heping Road in Langfang. The South Gate is the main entrance, and the theatres, gardens, and photo spots are spread across the grounds. Plan your arrival around your booked performances, and allow for walking inside the park even if you are mainly visiting for the architecture.
Tickets and opening hours
Buy through the official WeChat mini program or the current ticketing channel, then select your main-show sessions according to the ticket type. Under the regular ticket plan introduced with the full opening, a one-day ticket lets you choose one of four main shows, a two-day ticket lets you choose three, and a three-day ticket covers all four. The available products, showtimes, and valid dates can vary, so use the ticket page for your visit date. Opening and last-entry times also change by date; check that day’s notice before setting out.

Choose your visit
Four main shows and smaller performances
After the full opening, the four main shows are *Daguang Xizhen* (《大观戏阵》), *The Reader* (《读者》), *Twelve Beauties of Jinling* (《金陵十二钗》, formerly 《有还无》), and *No. 35 Middle School* (《第三十五中学》). The park has about 55 shows with roughly 1,500 minutes of performance time in total. *True and False* (《真亦假》) was later reworked as *Granny Liu’s Three Visits to Rongguo Mansion* (《刘姥姥三进荣国府》); it is another performance in the park, not one of the four main shows. Smaller theatres also include *Four Waters Return to the Hall* (《四水归堂》), *The Thirty-Third Chapter of Dream of the Red Chamber* (《红楼梦第三十三回》), and *The Second Store* (《二商店》). Confirm titles and times in the day’s programme.
This visit suits readers of *Dream of the Red Chamber*, theatre-goers, and anyone happy to plan around performance times. If you are not seeing a show, focus instead on the white buildings, gardens, and photo spots. Pick the scenes you most want to see first; if you are combining sightseeing with performances, book the main show before filling the gaps with nearby stops.
Architecture and photography
White Chinese-style buildings, courtyards, and covered walkways form the main photo settings. The blue stairs against a white wall at He Bi (何必) work well for a wide view; the red gate at Yi Ba (也罢) suits a low-angle shot; the red corridor at Shui Jian Le (谁见了) gives a strong sense of depth; and the lattice-window steps at Deng Chang (登场) have more dimension in afternoon light.
The light corridors at Shen Xian Hao (神仙好) and Qi Wen Ruo He (奇文若何) are along the main road and Theatre Road respectively, and are best photographed when the light is softer. You can plan architecture or hanfu photography around these places, or choose the closest photo spot between performances.
For another separately ticketed cultural venue in central Langfang, see Silk Road Cultural and Art Exchange Center.
Build your day
A 4–5-hour highlights route
Enter through the South Gate and go first to your booked main show. After it ends, choose one or two nearby smaller performances, then walk through the central garden area and leave through the West Gate. Allow about 4–5 hours; the actual pace depends on that day’s showtimes and waiting times.
Shuiyunjian Cultural Street is just outside the West Gate. If you plan to leave the park for a meal and return, first check whether your ticket allows re-entry. Otherwise, you can eat there after your last performance.
Plan multiple days around the programme
For a visit of one or more days, start by locking in the main show you have booked for each day. Use the gaps between performances for nearby smaller theatres, gardens, and photo spots; there is no fixed rule that the first day must be for main shows and the second for smaller ones. The number of main shows, valid dates, and any small-show booking rules for two- and three-day tickets depend on the product you buy.
The grounds involve considerable walking, so leave time between shows to exit, queue, and reach the next venue. At the end of the day, leave through the nearest open exit indicated on site. If you plan to leave and re-enter during the day, confirm that your specific ticket explicitly allows multiple entries; this benefit does not apply to every ticket.
Get there
From the railway stations
You can take a high-speed train to Langfang Station (廊坊站) or Langfang North Station (廊坊北站), then continue by taxi or bus. The ride from either station to the park is roughly 30–40 minutes. From Beijing, a sample trip is about 20 minutes by high-speed train to Langfang Station, followed by roughly 30 minutes by taxi; total time varies with your departure station, train connections, and road conditions.
There is no direct metro service. If travelling by bus, check the stop and last departure on the day of your visit. Allow for waiting time if you plan to take a taxi back to the station.
Driving and parking
Search for “Unique Dream of Red Mansion” in your map app. The park has a car park; check on-site signs for charges, open parking areas, and available spaces.
Know before you go
Showtimes and queues
Showtimes may change slightly from day to day. Check the next day’s programme in the mini program the day before your visit, then arrange the main shows and smaller performances. The popular *Shi Daizi* (《石呆子》) small theatre may require you to queue for a time slot about an hour in advance; time slots stop being issued when they are full. Follow the booking and queue information shown in the mini program that day.
Waiting, entering, and walking between areas can take a significant part of your visit. A 4–5-hour route may not leave enough time for every small theatre. Prioritize booked performances, then use the remaining time for the gardens and photo spots.
Food and walking
Inside the park, you can eat at Xilelin Old Hong Kong Fried Chicken (喜乐林老香港炸鸡) or Jinling Noodle House (金陵面馆). Shuiyunjian Cultural Street outside the West Gate has more options, including nana家, Sijiu Yan (四九宴·新京菜·烤鸭), and Leshan Qiaojiao Beef (乐山跷脚牛肉). Food outlets inside and outside the park operate separately; check re-entry rules before leaving for a meal.
A full visit can involve close to 20,000 steps, so wear comfortable walking shoes. If you need step-free access or are visiting with children, ask the venue about the rain route and children’s facilities before your trip.
