Location, entrance and time needed
Nishan Luyuan Village is at 9 Shengxiang Road in Nishan Town, west of Nishan Sacred Land. Luyuan Village has its own entrance and ticket, so the main Nishan Sacred Land admission does not provide direct access. You still need to walk or take a connection from the parking area or visitor centre to the entrance.
A quick visit takes about 1–1.5 hours for the old-style village buildings and lakeside area. If you are joining evening activities, allow 3–4 hours. Summer and public-holiday hours are often 09:30–22:00, with last entry at 21:00; confirm the regular schedule before travelling on other dates.
Tickets, booking and transfers
Adult admission is usually CNY 30–60, with student tickets around CNY 30. Partner hotels may provide admission, but check whether it is included, which dates apply and how tickets are collected under the accommodation product you book.
Book through the scenic area's official WeChat account or an online ticketing platform. By car, navigate to “Nishan Sacred Land Luyuan Parking Station” or “Nishan Sacred Land Visitor Service Center.” From the visitor centre, the walk to the entrance takes about 20 minutes. You can also use a sightseeing vehicle for about CNY 10 per person or a return boat ticket for about CNY 30 per person; confirm prices and operating arrangements on site.

Village buildings and the lakeside
The main sights are the old-style village buildings, lakeside towers and covered corridors. Daytime is suited to seeing the village layout and architectural details. After dusk, the illuminated lakeside becomes the main area for evening visits and photography.
There are many stone-paved paths, and walking is required between the buildings, lake and performance areas. Visitors interested in traditional-style photography and night views can focus on the lakeside. Families can add craft activities and interactive programmes according to the same-day schedule.
Interactive activities and night programmes
The village may offer costumed NPC interactions, poetry exchanges, chess, riddles and craft workshops. Some activities use “Luyuan Tongbao” tokens that can be exchanged for small gifts or spending credit. Characters, times and redemption items follow the event schedule, so choose them according to the programme on the day.
Night programmes may include the “Lushui Zhiyuan” light show, the “Shehuo” show, “Liuli Night Drum” and iron-flower performances. Confirm whether each programme runs, its session and its viewing area on the same-day schedule. Programmes from different dates cannot be used interchangeably.
Build your day
About 1–1.5 hours: village and lakeside route
Enter through the main Luyuan Village entrance, follow the main path through the old-style buildings, then continue to the lakeside for the towers, corridors and water views. On a short visit, complete the main village path and core lakeside area first. Return towards the entrance by walking, sightseeing vehicle or boat according to the on-site arrangement.
This route suits a short daytime stop or visitors who have already visited Nishan Sacred Land and want to add the village buildings and lakeside scenery. Include the transfer time between the parking area, visitor centre and main entrance.
About 3–4 hours: late-afternoon entry and evening visit
Enter in the late afternoon and visit the village buildings, lakeside and any craft or NPC activities operating that day. After dusk, follow the programme for the “Lushui Zhiyuan” light show, the “Shehuo” show or “Liuli Night Drum.” If iron flower is scheduled, go to the designated viewing area.
You can eat beside the lake or in the village according to the day's opening arrangements. Popular shows may require a place in the viewing area, so check the performance time and viewing location after entry, then fit the other activities and return journey around them.
Get there
Driving and parking
By car, navigate to “Nishan Sacred Land Luyuan Parking Station” or “Nishan Sacred Land Visitor Service Center.” The car park is large, but spaces can be tight on public holidays. From the car park to the Luyuan Village entrance takes about 20 minutes on foot; a paid sightseeing vehicle or return boat is also available.
The Luyuan Village entrance and Nishan Sacred Land entrance are separate. Navigating to the main Nishan Sacred Land car park may take you to the wrong entrance, so use a destination that includes “Luyuan Parking Station” or “Visitor Service Center.”
From Qufu East Station and by public transport
From Qufu East Station, take a taxi or Tourist Line 06, then follow the visitor-centre transfer arrangement to the scenic-area entrance. For an evening return, allow for the end of the village programme, the connection, the car park and the onward trip into the city.
Nishan Sacred Land is immediately east of Luyuan Village. The two attractions are close, but their tickets are separate. If you want to visit both, a two-day itinerary with one main attraction per day is easier to operate.
Know before you go
Programme times and the evening plan
Iron flower, the Shehuo show, night drums and light shows follow the same-day programme. Popular performances may require an early place in the viewing area. After entry, check the programme time, viewing area and last transfer, then arrange the evening route.
Summer and public-holiday hours may extend to 22:00. On regular dates, confirm opening hours, last entry and evening programmes in advance. Hotel admission, night performances and extended hours are conditional arrangements and should be described by date and same-day programme.
Walking, food and what to carry
The village uses many stone-paved paths, and there is also walking between the parking area or visitor centre and the entrance. Soft-soled, comfortable shoes are useful. Food inside the scenic area may be expensive, so bring water and a small snack.
When an evening programme ends, the village transfer, car park and city return journey may all involve waiting. Confirm the transfer direction and vehicle arrangement before leaving, and avoid connecting the final show to an overly tight departure time.
