How to Visit
1

Start at Unity Square.

Use the square as the meeting, drop-off and walking-start point, then head towards Xianyang Ancient Ferry Covered Bridge.

Tip:This is a long public riverside space, so do not try to cover the entire shoreline in one walk.
2

If time is limited, walk the section from Unity Square to the covered bridge.

This combines open river views and the bridge in one manageable stretch, with the option to return or leave from nearby.

Tip:Shade and refreshment stops are not continuous along the waterfront; avoid a long exposed walk in midday heat.
3

Add Weibin Park, the Ancient Ferry Site Museum or Xianyang Old Street only if you want more park, history or street life.

Treat each as a separate stop rather than a route that must all be completed in one visit.

Tip:Bridge stairs can be difficult for strollers or visitors with limited mobility; use the flatter waterfront paths as the main route instead.
Highlights
  • A long public walking area along the Wei River.
  • Unity Square provides a clear starting point.
  • The covered bridge connects the riverside walk with views across the river.
  • Weibin Park offers a green break within the wider waterfront area.
  • You can combine the lakefront, bridge, museum or old street without walking the whole district.
Insider Tips

Limit the plan to one waterfront section rather than forcing a full-length walk.

Choose a cooler part of the day and carry water before starting along the river.

Decide whether everyone in your group can manage bridge stairs before crossing.

Shops, tea rooms and activities along the lakefront operate independently.

If there is on-site work, barriers or temporary diversions, use a parallel path rather than crossing restricted areas.
