Plan at a glance

Beach and sand sculptures in one place

Nansha Scenic Area is near the Zhujiajian International Sand Sculpture Art Square on Longyan Line, with the main entrance close to the beach. Allow 1–1.5 hours for a short stop, or 3–4 hours for the beach, coastal walk and late-afternoon light.

The reference adult ticket is CNY 70 in the high season and CNY 20 in the low season. A separate night ticket is available after 18:00. High-season hours are usually 07:00–21:30, with last entry around 19:30. Weekend and high-season crowd controls are possible; follow the day's ticket and reservation instructions.

Daytime and evening activities, swimming areas and any sand-sculpture light display change by season and day. Nansha, Daqingshan and Dongsha have separate tickets and entrances.

Choose your visit

Beach, sand sculptures and the coast

Nansha's main features are its open beach, coastal walk and sand-sculpture area. You can play in the sand, observe the sea conditions or walk along part of the shore before returning to the entrance; there is no long mountain climb.

Sand sculptures are easier to examine in daylight, while the beach and sea are often better for photographs in the softer late-afternoon light. Whether a night-time sand-sculpture light display is open depends on the day's arrangements.

A good family and short coastal stop

Nansha suits families, groups of friends and visitors who want an easy beach section in a Zhujiajian day. The beach is open, but sand, tides and water activities still use energy, so children in the water should stay within a parent or guardian's view.

Visitors who prefer quiet views or a long walk can make Nansha one stop in a larger Zhujiajian plan and spend more time on Daqingshan or another coastal section.

Build your day

A 1–1.5-hour short stop

Enter through the main gate and go to the beach first. Walk along one side of the shore, view the sand sculptures and sea, then return to the entrance. With limited time, choose a safe and open area according to the tide and crowd level rather than trying to cover every sculpture.

The entrance sculpture and sand-sculpture area make a practical starting point for photographs. Keep cameras and phones away from the waterline, and move away from rocks and wet areas as the tide rises.

3–4 hours: afternoon into evening

Enter later in the afternoon and begin with sand play, wading and the sand sculptures. Walk along the coast and stop at an open viewing area as the light changes. If an evening light display or other activity is running, decide whether to join after checking the queue and departure time.

Sun exposure is strong around midday. Families can place beach activities later in the day and include a rest. Confirm the area and activities covered by any night ticket on site.

Connecting with other Zhujiajian attractions

Nansha can be combined with Daqingshan as a morning-and-afternoon plan, but allow for driving, parking and a new entry check between them. Dongsha's early-morning visit is a separate plan from a Nansha daytime visit.

Get there

Driving and island buses

Drive to the Zhujiajian International Sand Sculpture Art Square or Nansha's main entrance. Parking locations and charges follow the signs on the day. Zhujiajian Route 1 stops near Nansha, but leave time for waiting.

There is still a walk from the entrance to the beach. Reduce the load if you are carrying swimming gear, a stroller or large bags. Before closing, allow time to walk back from the beach, collect the car and leave the park.

From another Zhujiajian attraction

Travel from Daqingshan or Dongsha by the island roads; do not estimate the transfer as a walk between neighbouring beaches. High-season parking and entry queues can add time, so check Nansha's last-entry time before deciding whether to visit.

Know before you go

Sun, tides and coastal safety

Sun exposure is strong from 11:00–15:00. Bring sun protection, drinking water and a light jacket. Mosquitoes are more noticeable near the coast in the evening, so repellent is useful.

Swimming and water activities follow the open areas and instructions on site. Watch tides, wind and waves. Stay away from rocks when the water is rough or the ground is slippery, and do not cross a safety barrier to take photographs.

Food and extra spending

Food, water activities and rentals inside the park cost extra. Bringing water and simple food can reduce waiting. Confirm the charging method and safety requirements before ordering seafood or joining a water activity.

Parking, admission, night entry and activities are separate costs. Nansha's evening arrangements are not the same as Dongsha sunrise or Daqingshan's ring road; plan your departure around the last transport and your accommodation.

Leaving the park

Weekend and high-season crowd controls are possible, so enter early if you want evening content. If you are returning to another part of Zhujiajian, leave time for the walk out, collecting the car, road congestion and another parking search.
