Plan at a glance
Zhujiajian is reached by road
Zhujiajian is connected to Zhoushan's main island by bridges, so you do not need another ferry to reach the island. Zhujiajian Scenic Area is an overview destination covering separate places such as Daqingshan, Nansha and Dongsha. Each has its own entrance, ticket and opening period.
Allow half a day to a full day. If you want the mountain-and-sea road, focus on Daqingshan; if you want sand, sand sculptures or evening activities, add Nansha separately. Dongsha's early-morning visit also needs its own time slot. The three places have separate tickets and require road transfers rather than one short walking route.
Separate tickets and time plans
Daqingshan's reference admission is CNY 100 in the high season and CNY 60 in the low season. It usually opens at 07:30 and stops entry around 17:00 in the high season. Nansha's reference admission is CNY 70 in the high season and CNY 20 in the low season, with high-season hours around 07:00–21:30. Dongsha has a separate early-morning arrangement for sunrise. Follow each attraction's notice on the day.
Zhujiajian has no metro. Its attractions are spread out, so driving gives you the most control; without a car, island buses are available but infrequent. Leave extra time for waiting and the return journey.

Daqingshan's ring road and sea views
Daqingshan is suited to driving through the park, with short stops at places such as Niutoushan Viewpoint and Mao Tiao along the roughly 18-kilometre one-way ring road. Niutoushan looks over the connected beaches and coastline, while Lisha Beach is the main beach inside Daqingshan for swimming and sand play.
This choice suits visitors who like scenic driving, photography or short walks between viewpoints. The park is large, and walking between all the stops is not realistic.
Nansha and Dongsha beaches
Nansha focuses on its beach, sand sculptures and coastal walking. It suits families, groups of friends and visitors who want a slower seaside stop. Whether a night-time sand-sculpture light display or another activity is open depends on the day and season.
Dongsha is better treated as a separate early-morning visit for sunrise. It has its own entrance and ticket, so choose it according to your accommodation and energy for the day.
Choosing a combination
Drivers can make Daqingshan the main visit and add Nansha according to the season and opening hours. Families may prefer Lisha or Nansha for beach time; visitors who mainly want the coast and photographs can spend half a day on Daqingshan's ring road.
If you do not want a long drive, need reliable bus connections or hope to walk between several beaches, lower your expectations for the number of places you can combine. Zhujiajian still requires vehicle transfers between sites.
Build your day
Half a day: Daqingshan only
Enter Daqingshan and follow the one-way ring road, stopping at Four Seasons Flower Field, Niutoushan Viewpoint and Mao Tiao before leaving through the exit. Depending on how many viewpoints you visit, allow about 2–3 hours.
This suits a short visit. Lisha Beach can be a brief stop; if you plan to swim, also allow time for changing, rinsing off and walking back to the car.
One day: Daqingshan and Nansha
Visit Daqingshan in the morning and complete its ring road and main viewpoints first. Go to Nansha in the afternoon and allow 3–4 hours for the beach, sand-sculpture area and coast. Whether you continue into the evening depends on the day's last-entry time and activities.
Daqingshan generally clears visitors near closing time, so do not plan to wait for sunset inside the park. If you want to continue looking at the sea, find an open coastal location after leaving; do not delay your exit.
Dongsha as a separate early-morning visit
If you want sunrise, make Dongsha the first stop of the day, then return to your accommodation or continue to another attraction. Early tickets, the open area and weather all affect the plan, so calculate Dongsha separately from a Nansha daytime ticket.
Get there
From Ningbo or Zhoushan's main island
Visitors from outside the area can travel to Ningbo Railway Station and take a bus from the area near the station's South Square toward Zhujiajian. From Zhoushan's main island, drive or take a bus across Zhujiajian Bridge. There is no metro on Zhujiajian, and the island transfer still takes time after the long-distance journey.
Zhujiajian has buses such as Zhujiajian Route 1, but service and coverage are limited. Driving is easier when travelling with children, camera equipment or beach gear because you can change the order of the sites.
Driving and parking
Vehicles with nine seats or fewer may enter Daqingshan according to the day's rules. Parking is available near viewpoints and beaches. Parking charges differ between places such as Nansha; follow the signs on arrival.
Without a car, do not rely on finding a taxi after leaving Daqingshan. Vehicles and buses at the exit may be limited, so decide how you will return before entering.
Know before you go
Coastal weather and sun
Water colour, visibility and sunrise or sunset views depend on the weather. Use sun protection even on a clear day, and bring a sun shirt, hat and drinking water. In rain or strong wind, check whether roads, beaches or attractions have changed their opening arrangements.
Conditions differ between Lisha, Nansha and Dongsha. Follow the on-site safety instructions before entering the water. Tides affect the beach edge and rocks; stay away from wet or wave-covered areas when taking photographs.
Tickets, food and what to carry
Daqingshan, Nansha and Dongsha charge and operate separately. Food options inside the attractions are limited, so take water and simple food for a long stay. Confirm the pricing and charging method before ordering seafood.
Stones and rocks at coastal stops such as Xiaowushitang are part of the site; do not take them away. Grippy shoes are more useful than sandals when moving between viewpoints, sand and wet ground.
Return time
Zhujiajian works better as a series of sections than as a race to collect every attraction. Drivers should allow time for parking and the road back toward the main island. Bus and taxi users should check the last service and waiting time before adding an evening visit.
