Choose the route by your plan. A lighter route works for morning mist and lakeside views, while the boat to Doushuai Island plus Longjing Canyon needs most of a day.

Go to the Xiaodongjiang mist-viewing area early
Take the scenic-area transport in the early morning and try to enter around 6:00 so the best window is reserved for the river mist and riverside walk.

Continue toward Dongjiang Dam after the mist
After the mist, continue toward Dongjiang Dam. Depending on the weather and your energy, stop for lake views or move straight to the next part of the route.

Add Longjing Canyon if you still feel fresh
