Start from Chenzhou city and preferably use a private car, chartered car, or pre-arranged round-trip driver to reach Feitian Mountain Visitor Center.
Tip:The park is in a suburban area, and finding a return car on the spot may be unreliable.

Decide the ticket and water-route plan first
At the visitor center, first decide on tickets, sightseeing transport, and bamboo raft or boat options.
Tip:If you want the fuller mountain-and-water experience, plan both the Danxia walking route and the Cuijiang River section on the same day.

Walk the core Danxia area
Visit Danxia Heart, Jiandao'ao, Sleeping Beauty, natural stone gate, and other landform viewpoints first.
Tip:This is not a flat city park; there are stone steps and slopes, so pace yourself according to stamina and weather.

Continue to the Cuijiang River pier
Follow the on-site route to the pier for a bamboo raft or boat ride, where you can see red Danxia cliffs, river scenery, and hanging coffins from the water.
Tip:Water activities may be affected by weather, water levels, and daily operations, so avoid making the schedule too tight.

✦Ignore unofficial guides outside the scenic area and avoid informal routes; the Danxia slopes and waterside areas are not suitable for risky detours.
✦Arrange the bamboo raft or boat ride during stable daytime hours when possible, and allow time for queues and transfers during holidays.
✦Feitian Mountain takes more time than a normal city park, so plan it as a half-day to full-day visit instead of squeezing it between several far-apart sights.
