First decide whether the detour is worth it. Fuquan Tanggu is in Reshui Town, Rucheng, about 130 km from Chenzhou city; driving takes about 2 hours, while public transport usually takes 2-3 hours. If you only have 1-2 days in Chenzhou, do not squeeze out the main scenic areas just for one hot spring visit. It makes more sense if you are already going toward Rucheng or Reshui Town, or if you want to stay overnight.

Use the long opening window wisely

The hot spring hours in the notes are 9:00 am-11:00 pm, giving a long visit window. For a same-day return, arrive around midday and leave enough time to get back. If staying in Reshui Town or inside the resort, late afternoon or evening soaking works better.
