How to Visit
1

Decide whether this is a one-site day or a two-site day

Three Natural Bridges alone is already a strong day trip. Add Longshuixia Fissure only if you start early and have confirmed onward transport.

Do not overload the day by default
2

Visit Three Natural Bridges first

This is the signature Wulong karst stop and the easiest one to justify if your time or energy becomes limited.

Put the headline site first
3

Continue to Longshuixia Fissure for a darker canyon contrast

Longshuixia is narrower, wetter, and more stair-heavy. It works best after Three Natural Bridges if you still have energy for another 1.5-2 hours of walking.

Different landscape, more physical
4

Return through the tourist center with enough daylight buffer

After the fissure gorge, use the scenic transport back to the tourist center and continue by booked transfer, bus, or rail connection toward Chongqing.

Do not leave the return too late
Highlights
  • World Natural Heritage karst landscape within reach of Chongqing
  • Three Natural Bridges for huge stone arches, valley views, and film-location photos
  • Longshuixia Fissure Gorge for a darker, wetter, more enclosed canyon walk
  • Fairy Mountain as the broader highland-grassland option if you stay overnight
  • Best with a structured transport plan rather than spontaneous movement
Insider Tips

Wear non-slip shoes because both core scenic zones include steps and wet surfaces.

Carry only light gear; the day involves a lot of walking.

Bring a light jacket because canyon and mountain temperatures can be lower than Chongqing city.

Use official shuttles or a pre-arranged driver instead of informal station-side offers.

If traveling independently from Chongqing, consider staying overnight in Wulong if you want to include Fairy Mountain comfortably.
