Langxiang Migu Scenic Area is in Yanjian Town, Fengyang, and is built around a karst gorge, caves, a stone forest, and narrow passages. The north entrance is close to the visitor center and car park. Allow about 3–4 hours for the full adventure route or 1.5–2 hours for a shorter visit. Admission is CNY 60–65; students receive half-price admission with valid proof, and no reservation is normally required.
Opening hours and route difficulty
From April to October, reference opening hours are 08:00–17:00; from November to March, they are 08:00–16:30. Entry stops after 16:00. The route includes uneven ground, steps, and narrow sections. Shouren Valley (瘦人谷), the narrow passage, may require turning sideways, bending, or even crawling; visitors who are claustrophobic, broad-built, or tall should choose the wider route.
Who it suits
The full route suits visitors who enjoy hiking, caves, and changing landforms. Families should check the day's conditions and consider children's height and stamina before entering the narrow section. The sightseeing shuttle and slide are optional; the slide is approximately CNY 30 by reference, and neither should be assumed to be part of the basic visit.
Decide the route before setting out
At the north entrance, first decide whether everyone can manage Shouren Valley; this matters more than simply choosing “full” or “short” route. Then decide whether a shuttle is useful for one section. The full route links caves, gorge, stone forest, and Qianceng Cliff (千层崖). The short route concentrates on Chanku Temple (禅窟寺), Chanku Cave (禅窟洞), and the wider Pangren Path (胖人道), making the return easier to control.

Caves and gorge sections
Chanku Cave (禅窟洞) is a natural cave near the beginning of the route. It is cooler inside and may have bats and natural cave smells. Langgu (狼谷), the stone forest, and Qianceng Cliff then bring the walk back into gorges and rocky terrain. The sections feel quite different; visitors who dislike darkness or confined spaces can focus on the area outside Chanku Cave and the wider paths.
Shouren Valley and Pangren Path
At Fendao Valley (分道谷), choose the narrow route marked “Shouren Valley” or the wider “Pangren Path.” Shouren Valley may require sideways movement, lowering your head, and short stretches of crawling. Taller visitors should protect their heads, and body shape and comfort in confined spaces will affect whether the passage is manageable.
The difference between inside and outside the cave
Chanku Cave offers a darker, cooler look at the cave formations. Outside, Langgu, the stone forest, and Qianceng Cliff depend more on walking, steps, and open views. If someone feels uncomfortable inside the cave, follow the on-site signs toward the wider route rather than forcing the narrow section just to complete every part.

The 3–4 hour full adventure route
Enter through the north entrance and walk or take the sightseeing shuttle to Chanku Temple. Pass through Chanku Cave, continue into Langgu, and choose Shouren Valley at the fork. Then continue through the stone forest and Qianceng Cliff to Jianlang Pavilion before descending. For the exit section, choose walking, a section shuttle, or the CNY 30 slide according to the on-site arrangement; confirm each boarding point and its opening status there.
The 1.5–2 hour short route
After entering from the north, visit Chanku Temple and Chanku Cave first. Continue to Langgu, choose the wider Pangren Path, pass the core landforms, and descend to leave. This avoids the narrow challenge section but still includes steps and uneven mountain paths, so allow for real hiking effort.
What to do after the fork
If you choose Shouren Valley, let taller or slower companions check the entrance width before proceeding through the narrow sections one by one. Afterward, continue to the stone forest, Qianceng Cliff, and Jianlang Pavilion. Pangren Path is wider but still includes Langgu and the descent. Decide on walking, shuttle, or slide only near the exit instead of treating the return method as fixed from the start.
Leave enough margin for the return
At Jianlang Pavilion, follow the day's signs for the descent. The shuttle covers only its designated section, and the slide depends on the day's opening and boarding point. If you plan to catch the commonly listed return bus around 13:30, allow time to walk from the exit back toward the boarding area. Do not start the 3–4-hour full route close to the final-entry time.
Get there
Reaching Yanjian Town
From Bengbu South Railway Station, take a bus or taxi toward Fengyang; the reference journey is about 40–50 minutes. Fengyang Bus Station commonly has a service toward the scenic area at 08:30, with a commonly listed return around 13:30. Missing it may mean a long wait. Drivers can navigate to “Langxiang Migu”; parking is approximately CNY 5–10 per visit by reference.
Entrance and movement inside
The north entrance is close to the visitor center and car park and is a practical starting point for first-time visitors. The sightseeing shuttle runs by section and costs approximately CNY 10 one way. It solves only the designated leg; walking is still required between Chanku Cave, Langgu, and the stone forest.
Connecting after arriving by bus
The Fengyang Bus Station service is useful if you arrive early and enter straight away, but the intervals are not suitable for an improvised round trip. After getting off, go to the visitor center first to confirm the day's route, shuttle, and slide status, then begin walking. For the return, follow the exit back toward the bus boarding direction; if the common service is missed, prepare for a taxi or a long wait.

Buses, entry cut-off, and tickets
Prepare for the adult ticket as a CNY 60–65 range, with half-price student admission on valid proof; no reservation is normally required. Treat the entry cut-off as the route deadline, not merely the time when the gate still appears open. The commonly listed bus times are 08:30 outbound and 13:30 return, and the shuttle and slide must also be checked on site.
Narrow, slippery, and insect-prone sections
There are many steps and uneven surfaces, which may become slippery after rain. Before entering Shouren Valley, confirm that you can pass sideways and with your head lowered; visitors who are claustrophobic should choose Pangren Path. Vegetation is dense and insects are more noticeable in summer. Inside the cave there may be bats and natural smells, so wear non-slip shoes and carry insect repellent.
Supplies and nearby planning
There are farmhouse restaurants near the entrance, while Fengyang County town offers more food choices. Langxiang Migu and Jiushan Cave are relatively close to each other, but they have separate tickets, entrances, and routes. A same-day combination must treat transport and the full 3–4 hour route as separate time blocks.
Stamina and what to carry
The most tiring part of the full route is not one cave section but the stone forest, Qianceng Cliff, and descent after the narrow section. Water, a light backpack, and non-slip shoes are more useful than bulky items. When lowering your head or moving sideways, put away your phone and camera so you do not stop in the passage and block the group behind you.
