How to Visit
1

Treat it as a side trip, not central Dujiangyan

Jiezi Ancient Town is in Chongzhou near the Qingcheng area. It works well if you have a car, a Qingcheng Mountain plan, or an extra half day.

Tip:It is less convenient than Guanxian Ancient City for rail travelers.
2

Walk the main street before choosing a tea stop

Use the main lanes, old bridge area, snack stalls, and tea houses for a relaxed town walk. Do not rush to eat at the first doorway.

Tip:Menus and crowds vary by lane.
3

Add Guangyan Temple only with enough time

The temple and mountain-side sections add a calmer cultural stop, but they require more transport or walking. Skip them if you only want a light old-town visit.

Tip:The ancient town itself is enough for a short stop.
4

Plan the return before evening traffic

Weekends can bring parking and traffic pressure. Arrange your return car or bus connection before you sit down for a long meal.

Tip:This matters more here than in central Dujiangyan.
Highlights
  • Free ancient-town walk near Qingcheng Mountain
  • Good place for tea, snacks, and a slower Sichuan town rhythm
  • Optional Guangyan Temple and mountain-side add-on
  • Works well for self-drive travelers
  • Less intense than the major scenic-area routes
Insider Tips

Do not schedule it as your only Dujiangyan stop if this is your first trip; the waterworks and Qingcheng are stronger priorities.

Go on a weekday for a calmer tea-house experience.

Ask prices before ordering larger dishes or local specialties.

Wear comfortable shoes for stone lanes.

Use it after Qingcheng Mountain only if your group still has energy.
