江山半岛
Plan Jiangshan Peninsula in Fangchenggang with Bailang Beach, Strange Stones Beach, Baisha Bay, Moon Bay, Bailong Ancient Fort, transport, tide, weather, and route tips.
Treat Jiangshan Peninsula as a coastal route
Jiangshan Peninsula is not one single attraction. It is a coastal area made up of scattered stops such as Bailang Beach, Strange Stones Beach, Baisha Bay, Moon Bay, and Bailong Ancient Fort. It works better as a half-day or full-day route.
Self-drive or charter a car if possible
The stops are spread out, and public transport is not efficient for linking them. Self-drive, a chartered car, or a taxi-based route works best. If you only visit Bailang Beach, transport can be simpler, but for multiple stops, a car is much more useful.
Choose a main focus instead of trying to see everything
For sand and easy beach time, focus on Bailang Beach. For rocky photos, choose Strange Stones Beach. For lighthouse and resort-style photos, consider Baisha Bay. For a historical stop, add Bailong Ancient Fort. Trying to force every stop into one day can make the route rushed.
Plan around tide, weather, and road conditions
Sea color, beach experience, tide-pooling, and photo quality all depend on weather and tide. Some local roads, especially near rocky-coast stops, may be bumpy or under construction, so do not schedule the day too tightly.
Choose accommodation by your route
If you want sunset and slower beach time, stay near Bailang Beach, Sankuai Stone, or elsewhere on Jiangshan Peninsula. If you are only doing a day trip, staying in Fangchenggang city is fine, but leave enough time for the evening return.
✦Do not think of Jiangshan Peninsula as a single scenic area with one entrance and one fixed route.
✦Public transport is inefficient for visiting multiple stops, so reduce the number of places if you do not have a car.
✦Summer and midday sun can be harsh, and sea breeze can make sunburn easy to underestimate.
✦For seafood, consider Qisha Town or a local market, but confirm cooking fees and weighing clearly.
✦Road conditions, tide, and weather directly affect the experience, so make choices before leaving rather than trying to do everything.
