Green Lake Park

Enter without over-planning the route

Green Lake is best as a slow loop. Start at whichever gate fits your citywalk and follow the water, bridges, and pavilions rather than chasing every corner.

Use winter mornings for gulls

From roughly November to March, the park becomes a central gull-viewing place. Mornings are usually cleaner for activity and photos.

Add a nearby cultural stop

Yunnan University, the old military academy area, and nearby lanes make Green Lake much stronger as part of a half-day walking route.

Keep the visit unhurried

Two hours is enough for the core park, but a slower loop gives you better local scenes, light, and breaks.
