Haigeng Park is better for an easy lake walk than for an aggressive sightseeing checklist. Start near your transport point and follow the shore toward the dam or cableway area.
Go to the open lake edge during gull season
From November to March, choose open shore sections where birds gather, but keep flexibility because the densest activity can shift along the lakefront.
Add Western Hills only if transport lines up
The cableway and Western Hills pairing can be excellent, but it depends on operating status, weather, and your time budget.
Avoid driving into peak lakefront pressure
On weekends and in gull season, parking and traffic can become the main friction. Line 5 plus short local movement is usually easier.
