This is an older city zoo with strong value and convenience, not a modern wildlife park. It works best as a family or light city stop.

Use a compact north-side route

Start with the popular primate and large-animal areas, then continue through herbivores, carnivores, elephants, and birds before deciding whether to add paid amusements.

Go in the morning if animals matter most

Animals are often more active earlier in the day, and families avoid some of the afternoon crowd and heat.

Skip unauthorized feeding

Use posted rules and staff guidance around feeding. Do not buy or offer unsuitable food to animals.
