How to Visit

Start at the south bridgehead
Set your destination to Zhongshan Bridge South Bridgehead on Binhe Road. Arrive about 60-90 minutes before sunset, then view the gateway and the full steel-truss structure before stepping onto the bridge.
Tip:This is a historic pedestrian bridge and normal visits are free. Arriving too early gives you only daytime views; arriving too late can mean missing the bridge details and the Yellow River in daylight.

Walk the bridge from south to north
Use one side of the pedestrian path, pause briefly near the middle to look at the steel beams, rivets, and river, then continue to the north bridgehead. No transport is needed on the bridge itself.
Tip:It is busiest around sunset, on weekends, and during holidays. Stop at the side for photos rather than standing in the centre and blocking both directions.

Look back from the north bank, then leave by your chosen route
Photograph the full length of the bridge from the north end, then either walk back across it or continue along the riverside path. Stay on either bank until after dark if you want an evening view.
Tip:The bridge and riverbank can feel windy at night, especially in spring and autumn. Decide how you will leave before the bridgehead becomes crowded.

✦At night, watch your footing and passing pedestrians rather than walking backwards for photos.
✦Allow 30-60 minutes for the bridge itself; it does not need a half-day allocation.
