How to Visit
1

Enter from the North Gate

Set your destination as "Longtan Park North Gate" for the easiest entry. A taxi from central Liuzhou is usually the simplest option; buses also stop at "Longtan Park."

Tip:The North Gate works best for a first visit because the route is clearer and taxi drop-off is easy.
2

Choose a walking length before you start

The park is free and fairly large. Allow 2.5-3.5 hours for a relaxed loop, or 1.5-2 hours if you only want the main lake views and photo spots.

Tip:This keeps the visit from turning into a long park walk if you have other Liuzhou stops planned.
3

Follow the main lake and bridge route

A practical route is to enter from the North Gate, see the leaning tree, Leitan Lake and Longtan Lake, then continue to the Leishan cliff inscriptions, Jinghu Lake, Wind and Rain Bridge, Drum Tower, and exit from the East Gate.

Tip:This route covers the most recognizable water, bridge, and hill views without too much backtracking.
4

Bring basic supplies for the walk

Food and drink options inside are limited, so bring water, sun protection, and mosquito repellent in summer.

Tip:After rain, stone steps and waterside paths can be slippery, so wear shoes with good grip.
Highlights
  • A free karst landscape park inside Liuzhou city, easy to reach and well suited to a half-day slow walk.
  • The Wind and Rain Bridge, Jinghu Lake, Leitan Lake, and Longtan Lake are the most concentrated scenic points, so you do not need to walk far for the best views.
  • The mix of lakes, limestone hills, and ethnic-style buildings gives it more character than a standard city park.
  • Mornings are quieter with softer light; late afternoon is good for a lakeside walk, but do not leave the visit too late.
  • If you are traveling with older visitors or children, stay on the main lakeside route instead of trying to cover every hill path and side corner.
Insider Tips

The Wind and Rain Bridge and the leaning tree draw the most people. Go early if you want cleaner photos.

Sightseeing carts, photo services, and some small in-park experiences cost extra. Check whether you really need them before paying.

The North Gate works best for a first visit because the route is clearer and taxi drop-off is easy.

Longtan Park is worth visiting, but it does not need a full day. It pairs well with Liuhou Park, Ma'anshan Park, or Yaobu Ancient Town.
