How to Visit
1

Arrive at the visitor center or east gate

Set your destination as "Ma'anshan Park Visitor Center" or "Ma'anshan Park East Gate." Taxis from central Liuzhou are easy; buses stop near "Ma'anshan" or "Henan Qiaotou."

Tip:This keeps the arrival simple if you are combining the park with a river or old-town evening.
2

Choose between stairs and the elevator

The park itself is free. To reach the viewpoint, either walk up the steps in about 20-40 minutes or buy a ticket for the vertical elevator.

Tip:The walking route is not long, but the stairs are dense and can feel tiring in hot weather.
3

Check the elevator rules before paying

Common elevator prices are CNY 20 for going up, CNY 10 for going down, or CNY 30 round trip. Mondays are usually maintenance days, and in the evening the elevator may only sell uphill tickets.

Tip:If you take the elevator up for the night view, still be ready to walk down.
4

Time the visit for dusk if you want lights

For night views, go up around dusk. The view is strongest when there is still some light in the sky and the riverside lights begin to turn on.

Tip:The stairs can be dim and crowded at night, so do not leave the descent too late.
Highlights
  • One of the easiest high viewpoints in Liuzhou for seeing the Liujiang River curve through the city.
  • Daytime is better for city, river, and distant hill views; dusk and evening are better for lights.
  • The vertical elevator saves energy and works well if you are short on time, traveling with older visitors or children, or do not want to climb.
  • The walking route is not long, but the stairs are dense and can feel tiring in hot weather.
  • It combines naturally with Yaobu Ancient Town or a Liujiang River night cruise for a late-afternoon-to-evening plan.
Insider Tips

Weekend and holiday evenings are the busiest times, with possible queues for both the elevator and the viewing platform.

If you only want one city night-view photo, 60-90 minutes is enough. There is no need to plan half a day around it.

Do not leave the descent too late, especially in rain or with children. The steps require more care than they may appear to in photos.

The riverside light view is not guaranteed every night; rain, maintenance, or special arrangements can make the experience less impressive.
