How to Visit
1

Plan it as a county-side trip

Xiangqiao Karst National Geopark is in Zhongdu Town, Luzhai County, away from central Liuzhou. Driving is the easiest option and takes about 1.5 hours.

Tip:This is not a quick drop-by from the city, so count the transport time before adding it to the day.
2

Buy the park ticket and decide on the bus

Adult tickets are commonly CNY 40, and the sightseeing bus is commonly CNY 10. Opening hours are usually daytime hours such as 08:30-17:30 or 09:00-17:00.

Tip:The sightseeing bus helps keep the visit manageable if you do not want extra walking before the cave and natural bridge.
3

Follow the main karst route

A standard route is to take the sightseeing bus from the entrance to Jiulong Cave, then continue to the natural bridge, viewing platform, and canyon boardwalk. Allow 2-3 hours.

Tip:If time is limited, prioritize the natural bridge and Jiulong Cave instead of trying to cover every side path.
4

Arrange non-driving transport carefully

If you are not driving, plan transport around Luzhai North Railway Station, Zhongdu Ancient Town, or a hired car. Public transport is less convenient than city attractions.

Tip:This keeps the return trip from becoming the hardest part of the visit.
Highlights
  • The main appeal is karst geology: natural bridge, cave, canyon, pools, and boardwalks.
  • Xiangqiao Natural Bridge is the core sight and is best viewed from both the platform and lower angles.
  • Jiulong Cave stays cool in summer, but the cave and boardwalk can be wet and slippery.
  • It is more natural and more effortful than city attractions, making it better for travelers who like geology and light hiking.
  • It can be combined with Zhongdu Ancient Town or rural Luzhai for a half-day to full-day route.
Insider Tips

Wear non-slip sports shoes. The cave, boardwalk, and streamside areas may be damp.

In summer, bring mosquito repellent, sun protection, and water because the park has dense vegetation and exposed outdoor sections.

If time is limited, prioritize the natural bridge and Jiulong Cave instead of trying to cover every side path.

This is not a quick "drop by from the city" stop. Count the transport time before adding it to the day.
