Plan at a glance
This is a ticketed coastal resort
Romantic Coast International Tourism Resort is different from a free public beach. Plan it as a half-day, full-day or overnight visit based on admission, a hotel package and the activities your group actually wants. Opening hours are around 08:00-22:00. Night lighting, shows and beach activities depend on the date, weather and package, so do not treat them as daily fixtures.
Adult tickets are around CNY 45-65 online and CNY 75-80 on site. Children and older visitors may have different rules. Before buying, check whether the product is entry only, whether hotel benefits are included, and whether the water park, shows and water activities cost extra.
Choose between photographs, a resort stay and family activities
Visitors who mainly want the sea and sunset can keep the visit to 2-3 hours, focusing on the outside of the Crystal Chapel, the Poetry Hall area, the palm-lined beach and seaside rest areas. Overnight guests can separate arrival, check-in, beach time and the following morning instead of squeezing everything into one afternoon.
Families should first decide whether the children want the water park, sand activities or other rides. The water park and individual experiences may have different opening hours, age limits and package conditions. Entry or a hotel booking does not automatically include every activity.

2-3 hours: seaside buildings and sunset
After entering, check which parts of the Crystal Chapel, Poetry Hall and other photo areas are open that day. Then walk through the palm area and along the beach before stopping near the sea for sunset. This suits visitors who are not staying overnight and do not plan to use the water activities.
The Crystal Chapel may restrict interior access for weddings or other events, so make the lawn and exterior views your main plan. If one space is closed, continue along the beach and public viewpoints rather than waiting so long that you miss sunset or your return transport.
One night or a family day: calculate the hotel and paid activities separately
Hotel guests can plan the beach, pool and available activities after check-in, then see sunrise or depart the next day. Some hotel packages may include admission, but room type, pool access and water-park conditions must be checked in the booking details. Benefits from different hotels should not be combined.
For a family visit, place children's activities, sand play, shore activities and age-appropriate rides in the more comfortable daytime hours. If you plan an evening activity, leave time for dinner, washing and the children's rest. A beach walk or time in the room should remain a workable alternative if the weather or operations change.
Build your day
Check what is operating before choosing the route
After arrival, read the day's notices or ticket information and confirm the water park, shows, beach activities and shuttle services before setting the walking order. Put the buildings, palm areas and beach walks that do not depend on a show schedule earlier in the day so you do not spend the best light waiting for one activity.
In the afternoon, allow time for photographs, the beach and sunset. Anyone planning to eat should decide early between dining inside the resort and eating outside. Do not leave an expensive meal, extra ticket and return transport until after dark.
Overnight guests should avoid repeated trips across the resort
After check-in, arrange room rest, beach time and evening activities according to the actual distance between the hotel and the resort areas. If you use a hotel pool or package activity, check whether it requires a reservation or has a time limit, and whether non-staying companions need a separate ticket.
On the second day, a short beach visit after breakfast is enough before departure; there is no need to delay the return just to make up an activity that was unavailable the previous evening. In strong wind or rain, prioritise safe indoor options or a beach walk when conditions allow.
Fangji Island Ocean Resort Park is a separate island day built around a boat schedule, not a beach that can be reached by continuing to drive from Romantic Coast. If you want both, split them across at least two days, fix the Fangji Island date around boats and weather first, then arrange the resort stay, show, or water activities.
Get there
Driving is simplest, but allow time for entry
Drivers can navigate to the Romantic Coast International Tourism Resort car park. Parking is around CNY 10 per visit, although some hotels or packages may have different rules. Entry, parking and ticket checks can take longer on weekends and event days, so visitors planning to see sunset should not arrive at the last minute.
A taxi from Maoming Railway Station takes about 40 minutes. K9 bus service is also listed as an option. Non-drivers should confirm the return taxi or bus plan before arriving, especially if they plan to stay for an evening activity and do not want to rely on a last-minute ride.
Travel light inside the resort
There may be considerable walking between the car park, entrance, beach and hotels. Hotel guests should leave or store their luggage before heading to the coast; day visitors should carry water, sun protection and insect repellent rather than large bags.
Bohe-area seafood restaurants and other coastal destinations are separate drives, not facilities within walking distance of the resort. If you leave the resort to eat and plan to return, check whether your ticket or hotel benefit allows re-entry.
Know before you go
Tickets, facilities and shows are separate decisions
Admission, the water park, jet skis and other water activities, vehicle rentals and some shows may all be charged separately. If you want fireworks, a bonfire or a beach party, treat it as an activity that may be scheduled on certain dates and confirm it in the on-site notices rather than assuming it will happen.
The Crystal Chapel, hotel pools and event spaces may also be affected by weddings, private bookings, seasons or accommodation benefits. Confirm the one or two experiences that matter most before booking instead of paying for a large package built around uncertain extras.
Leave a safety margin for the coast and night activities
The coast has strong sun and more insects after dark. Bring high-factor sunscreen, insect repellent and shoes that work on sand. Check the tide and local safety notices before walking near rocks or joining a shore activity; on windy days, do not make entering the water the main requirement of the visit.
Some rooms may be older, damp or different in outlook, so use the current room information when booking. Before leaving, allow time for check-out, collecting the car and exiting the car park. Do not connect the end of a late activity directly to a long night drive.
