Enter from Dukezong Old Town
Use Guishan Park as the uphill finish to an old-town walk rather than a separate taxi-only stop.
Tip:The approach has stairs, so move slowly at altitude.

Tip:Quotas can appear at night.

Visit the prayer wheel near dusk
The large prayer wheel and old-town lights are the main reasons to come. Go before the area fully winds down.
