The road is long and winding, so treat Baishuitai as a day trip rather than a quick side stop.

The scenic area is not huge, but there are stairs and exposed viewpoints. Move slowly and protect the travertine surface.
Tip:Stay on the marked paths.

Morning and late afternoon make the white terraces and blue-green pools easier to photograph.

Food options near the terraces are simple, and the drive back is long. Carry water and snacks.
