How to Visit

Use Wanfo Temple as a quiet side stop inside Wanfenglin
Wanfo Temple sits within the Wanfenglin area and pairs well with Shangnahui, Xianahui, and Bagua Field. It is not a large temple complex, so allow about 1-1.5 hours for the cave temple and surrounding peak views.
Tip:Do not travel a long distance just for Wanfo Temple. It makes more sense when combined with the Wanfenglin village route.

Go during the day, not too close to evening
Wanfo Temple is understood as free to visit, but temple spaces are better visited before it gets late. Aim for the morning or earlier afternoon, and try to finish before 17:00.
Tip:I would not treat "open all day" as fixed, because temple management, hall access, and staff hours may differ.

Follow the lower halls, cave hall, then opposite viewpoint
Start with the lower halls such as the God of Wealth Hall and Guanyin Hall, then enter the cave hall. If you still have energy, continue to Duobao Cave or the higher opposite viewpoint for a view back toward the temple and peaks.
Tip:The opposite viewpoint is better for a full temple view. Inside the halls, follow all photography and worship rules on site.

Use taxi, self-driving, or village riding to connect it
Wanfo Temple is easy to combine with the Nahui village area. Taxi, self-driving, or rental riding can all work, but leave extra transfer time when village roads are busy in peak season.
Tip:If you have already hiked or ridden for a long time, do not leave Wanfo Temple too late. Slopes and steps will feel harder when tired.
