Treat Jin Yan'an as an open resort district

Jin Yan'an is not a single attraction. It is more like an open cultural tourism resort district.

Tip:The street area itself usually has no main gate ticket, but shows, entertainment, hot springs, cinemas, selected experiences, hotels, and food are paid separately.

Choose one main experience first

Jin Yan'an includes streets, restaurants, homestays, performances, family entertainment, and night activities.

Tip:On a first visit, choose one main reason to go, such as watching Yan'an Nursery School, seeing Yan'an Thirteen Years, staying overnight, or simply using it for a half-day resort walk.

Come in the afternoon and stay into evening

If you are not staying overnight, arrive in the afternoon, walk the streets, have a meal, then add a show or evening activity.

Tip:Daytime is better for architecture and shops, while evening gives a fuller sense of lighting, performances, and resort atmosphere.

Do not confuse it with Yan'an Red Street

Jin Yan'an and Yan'an Red Street are both cultural tourism districts with performances and food, but they are not the same place.

Tip:Do not write the route as if you can casually walk from one to the other; they need separate transport time.
