Treat it as a short stop on Shili Gallery

The Grand Banyan Tree scenic area is small. The core sights are the old banyan tree, riverside lawn, and filming-related spots from Liu Sanjie. A normal visit takes about 20-45 minutes.

Tip:Do not give it half a day by itself. It works better with Moon Hill, Gongnong Bridge, and Shili Gallery cycling.

Decide whether to enter or view from outside

Buying a ticket lets you see the roots, canopy, and riverside area up close. If you only want an overall photo, you can also look for angles around nearby bridges or village roads.

Tip:If your group is not interested in Liu Sanjie or old-tree culture, a quick outside view may be enough.

Avoid lingering at noon in hot weather

The area does not have deep shade everywhere, and summer noon can feel very hot. Early morning, late afternoon, or a short cycling stop is more comfortable.

Tip:The attraction is compact. In hot weather, do not stay too long just to feel that the ticket was worth it.

Link it with the nearby route

The Grand Banyan Tree is close to Moon Hill, Gongnong Bridge, and parts of the Yulong River area, so it works as one stop on a Shili Gallery day route.

Tip:If you have just finished Yulong River rafting, confirm your raft endpoint and the walking distance to the Grand Banyan Tree. Different piers are not in the same place.
