How to Visit
1

Allow enough time for the transfer and cave route

Silver Cave is in Maling Town, Lipu, and usually takes some time to reach from Yangshuo town. The main cave route takes about 1-1.5 hours, so with transport it works better as a half-day trip.

Tip:It is not a quick stop beside West Street or Shili Gallery. Do not squeeze it into a very tight cycling day.
2

Choose practical transport

From Yangshuo, you can use a scenic shuttle, hired car, taxi, or self-drive. An e-bike gives more freedom, but the ride is long, and the return can be tiring in summer, rain, or after dark.

Tip:If you are traveling with older visitors or children, a shuttle or hired car is usually the steadier choice.
3

Follow the one-way cave route slowly

The cave route mostly does not backtrack. There are steps, damp ground, and darker sections, so just follow the main path and avoid turning back repeatedly for photos.

Tip:When the cave is crowded, it can feel warm and stuffy. Light clothing and non-slip shoes are more useful than carrying too much camera gear.
4

Treat the shopping area as an exit buffer

After leaving the cave, you pass through a commercial area. It is fine for buying water or taking a short rest, but you do not need to spend much time shopping there.

Tip:If you still plan to see Impression Sanjie Liu or West Street at night, visit Silver Cave earlier in the day.
Highlights
  • Silver Cave is one of the most developed karst cave attractions around Yangshuo.
  • The stalactite formations are large, and the route changes from narrow sections to more open chambers.
  • Features such as Snow Mountain Waterfall, Music Stone Screen, and Yaochi Fairyland work well for first-time cave visitors.
  • On rainy days or very hot summer days, it can replace an outdoor mountain-and-river plan.
  • For trips with older family members, it is easier to manage than a climbing-focused attraction.
Insider Tips

The cave floor can be wet and slippery, so avoid slippers or very flat-soled shoes.

If you are sensitive to stuffy spaces, think carefully before going. A constant cave temperature does not always mean it feels cool when crowded.

Do not block the walkway for long photo sessions inside the cave.

Photo services and exit-area products are optional. Do not assume you need to buy more just because a small photo is offered.

If you have already visited many large caves, place Silver Cave after Li River and Yulong River in priority.
