Location and visit area
Liaoning Tuanshan National Marine Park is on the coast of Liaodong Bay, west of Tuanshan Subdistrict in Beihai New District, Gaizhou, Yingkou. Search for “辽宁团山国家级海洋公园” (Liaoning Tuanshan National Marine Park) in your map app, then confirm the entrance at 渊祥街检票口 (Yuanxiang Street Ticket Gate). The main experiences are Silver Beach, the sea-eroded coastline, and the Red Beach wetland. Beihai Chan Temple (北海禅寺) is inside the park, but confirm separately whether it is open and whether admission to the temple is included in the park ticket. On weekdays outside July and August in 2026, the park is open from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. On weekends, public holidays, and every day in July and August, the listed hours are 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. The operator’s notice does not specify a last admission time. A Ctrip attraction listing shows admission at CNY 30 and online tickets from CNY 28.50; check the day’s ticket information for the exact price, discounts, and reservation requirements. Allow half a day for the park.

Longgong Yitiao Jie (龙宫一条街; Dragon Palace Rock Coast)
The sea-eroded coastline is about 2 km long. Cliffs, wave-cut platforms, and caves were formed by the long-term action of waves, currents, and tides. At low tide, more of the rocky shore is exposed; at high tide, some areas are covered by seawater, changing both the main views and the areas visitors can walk through. Along the shore, look for natural formations named Elephant Returning to the Mountain, Golden Fish Looking Out to Sea, and Dragon Gate. Take time to observe the coastal landforms and photograph them. Rocks can be slippery; use paths opened by the park management and do not descend to closed sections of the shore to get closer to a formation.
Silver Beach and the Red Beach wetland
Silver Beach is a bathing beach with about 2 km of shoreline, suited to looking out to sea and playing in the sand. Before swimming or exploring the tidal flats, check that day’s opening information and safety notices. The Red Beach is made up of wetland plants such as seepweed; its color changes with the seasons, so view it only from open areas.
Beihai Chan Temple and other sites in the park
Beihai Chan Temple (北海禅寺) is a cultural site by the sea within Tuanshan Marine Park. It also has its own attraction page. Its current hours, last admission, and whether entry to the temple is covered by the park ticket have not been confirmed. Check with the park ticket office before adding it to your day.
For a public square, beach and boardwalk outing in Bayuquan, see Shanhai Square.
Build your day
A 2–3-hour sea-cliff route
Enter through the Yuanxiang Street Ticket Gate and first check the day’s tide and coastline access information. Follow the open paths toward the Longgong coastal viewing area. Look for formations such as Elephant Returning to the Mountain, Golden Fish Looking Out to Sea, and Dragon Gate from locations you are permitted to reach; there is no need to approach each rock individually. Return to the gate along the open paths. Allow about 2–3 hours, and turn back early if the tide rises or an area is closed.
A relaxed 4–5-hour visit with Silver Beach
Enter through the Yuanxiang Street Ticket Gate and start at Silver Beach. Depending on the tide and on-site directions, follow open paths toward the Longgong coastal viewing area; view the sea-eroded landforms only from permitted locations. Allow about 4–5 hours and return to the ticket gate along the open paths. Before visiting Beihai Chan Temple (北海禅寺), confirm its hours and entry rules separately.
Get there
Navigation and public transport
For a car or ride-hailing trip, search for “辽宁团山国家级海洋公园” (Liaoning Tuanshan National Marine Park) and set 渊祥街检票口 (Yuanxiang Street Ticket Gate) as the destination. There is no reliable current information confirming bus stops, service frequency, or last departures. If travelling without a car, call the ticket office at 0417-7156999 in advance to ask about available connections and return options.
Parking and supplies in the park
A 2026 operating notice says the car park is chargeable and open around the clock, but does not list rates or capacity. Check the notice or call for the current price before entering. Food and shopping service points are planned near the park entrance and beach, but there is no guarantee that each location will be open that day. If you need a meal, plan ahead and check what food services are available and whether outside food is allowed.
Know before you go
Tickets and the temple boundary
When buying a ticket, check the applicable date, discounts, reservation requirements, and last admission time. Do not assume that an old travel post means the park is free after closing. Although Beihai Chan Temple (北海禅寺) is inside the park, confirm separately whether it is included in the same ticket and when admission to the temple stops.
Tides, sea conditions, and weather
Check the tide for the day before setting out, then confirm which parts of the shore are open after entering. Watch for rising tides, strong winds and waves, and temporary closures. Stay on open paths, do not cross barriers or enter protected wetland areas, and follow the on-site safety directions.
