A good first stop in the city
Yunfu Museum is at 1 Fuqian Road in Yuncheng District, in the same compound as the broadcasting and television centre. Admission is free and no ticket is required. It is open Tuesday–Sunday from 09:00–17:00, with final entry at 16:30; it is closed on Mondays except public holidays.
The museum is compact. Allow about one hour for a quick visit and 1.5–2 hours for the exhibitions and stamp stations. It works better as part of a city walk with Nanshan Forest Park, Dongjie and Xijie, or Panlong Cave than as a full-day museum destination.
See the exhibitions before extending the route
The “One Stone, One World” stone-art exhibition on the first floor, the history exhibition on the second floor and a special exhibition area on the third floor form the main visit. The displays cover Yunfu stone carving, the Modao Mountain site, a Han-period bronze drum, Huineng and the military figure Cai Tingkai.
There is a twelve-zodiac coloured stamp near the entrance and a self-service stamp area. Each visitor is listed as receiving only one sheet of paper, so bring a stamp book or blank card if collecting stamps matters to you.

Stone art and local history
The “One Stone, One World—Yunfu Stone Art” exhibition presents round carving, relief carving and incised carving. Realistic stone carvings of roast pig and roast goose are easy for children and first-time visitors to notice, while the second-floor history exhibition adds the Modao Mountain site, bronze drums and Nanjiang culture.
The third-floor content can change with the exhibition programme. It may include displays on red currency, military models, ceramics or locks, so check which floors are open if you are looking for a particular temporary exhibition rather than treating every item as permanent.
Stamps, families and city walks
The museum suits stamp collectors, local-history visitors, families and people exploring Yunfu on foot. Parking is convenient, and the short indoor route makes it useful when the weather is poor.
If your companions are less interested in museums, keep the visit to 40–60 minutes and continue to Nanshan Forest Park or Dongjie and Xijie. The museum is small; focus on Yunfu’s stone craft and history instead of repeatedly walking the same rooms.

About one hour: quick visit
Entrance registration → twelve-zodiac stamp → first-floor stone-art exhibition → second-floor history exhibition → exit. When time is limited, prioritise the first and second floors, then decide whether the third-floor special exhibition is open that day.
Ask where the stamp stations are as soon as you enter. If you need to complete a short questionnaire to receive rice paper or card, allow a few minutes rather than leaving the stamps until the final ten minutes before closing.
1.5–2 hours: exhibitions and stamps
Register and collect any visitor materials first, then work through the first, second and third floors. The stone-art exhibition rewards a closer look at technique, while the second-floor history displays need more reading time; adjust the third floor to the day’s special exhibition.
Free guided tours are listed at 10:00 and 15:00. If you miss one, an electronic guide is listed at about CNY 20 per device. Plan around the tour if you want to hear more about the collections.
1.5–2 hours: museum and city route
Yunfu Museum → walk in Nanshan Forest Park → explore Dongjie and Xijie. If you have enough time, add Panlong Cave, but remember that Panlong Cave stops entry at 17:00. The museum and cave have different closing and group-entry rules, so do not plan them only by map distance.
Hekou stone-ground rice noodles, Yun’an beef offal and evening hot-pot dishes work better as city meals. If you leave the museum later in the afternoon, allow time for traffic and queues before dinner.
Get there
Driving and parking
Navigate to “Yunfu Museum”. Parking at the entrance and along nearby roads is listed as plentiful and free. Enter from the Fuqian Road side, register, then start the exhibition and stamp route.
The museum, Nanshan Forest Park and the old streets are close enough to combine by car. At weekends, follow the local signs and parking rules, and do not block the broadcasting centre’s entrances.
Bus and taxi
Take a bus to Shifu Square Station and walk about five minutes. Taxis are convenient within Yunfu, and short taxi rides also work between the museum, Panlong Cave and Nanshan Forest Park.
Visitors without a car can use the museum as the first city stop, then choose walking or a taxi according to the weather. On Mondays, replace the museum with Panlong Cave, the old streets or another open stop.
Know before you go
Monday closure and last entry
The museum is closed on Mondays. From Tuesday to Sunday, final entry is at 16:30 and the building closes at 17:00. Do not treat 17:00 as the time to arrive; you will not have enough time for all three floors.
Around 10:00 in the morning or before 15:00 in the afternoon is a more comfortable arrival time. On weekends, weekdays or earlier hours are usually quieter than the middle of the day.
Stamps, photography and conduct
Each visitor is listed as receiving only one sheet, so a stamp book or blank card is useful. Do not touch exhibits, use flash or make unnecessary noise; keep the stamp table available for other visitors.
Yunfu Museum is the city-centre museum and is different from Luoding Museum. Later planning should always use the full name “Yunfu Museum” so the exhibitions, opening hours and transport of the two museums are not mixed together.
