Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Plan it as a two-day scenic area

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is not a single viewpoint. It includes areas such as Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Yangjiajie, Huangshi Village, Golden Whip Stream, and Ten-Mile Gallery.

Enter from Wulingyuan Sign Gate if it is your first visit

Staying in Wulingyuan and entering through the Sign Gate, also called the East Gate, is usually the easiest choice for a first trip.

For one day, go up by Bailong Elevator and down by Tianzi Mountain

A practical one-day route is to enter from the East Gate, take the shuttle bus to Bailong Elevator, ride up to Yuanjiajie, visit Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, Mihun Terrace, and First Bridge under Heaven, then continue to Tianzi Mountain before descending by cableway or shuttle route.

For two days, split the mountain-top and valley routes

Use the first day for Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, and Tianzi Mountain, where the main experience is peak-forest viewpoints. Use the second day for Golden Whip Stream, Huangshi Village, or Ten-Mile Gallery.

Sort out tickets, luggage, and weather before entering

The core scenic-area ticket is usually valid for multiple days and includes shuttle buses, but Bailong Elevator, cableways, and the Ten-Mile Gallery mini-train cost extra.
