Plan at a glance
Location and opening pattern
Cunjin Bridge Park is at No. 95 Yuejin Road in Chikan District, right next to Chikan Old Street. The park itself is free and open all day, with 6:00-22:00 being the most practical visiting window; the zoo and children's park charge separately.
How long to stay
If you only want Cunjin Bridge, Moonshadow Lake and the Nine-hole Bridge, 1 hour is enough. If you want the Xianxi Garden, the Martyrs Cemetery and the zoo as well, 2-3 hours is more realistic. This is a combined history-and-stroll route rather than a park for big-ticket thrills.

1 hour: the compact park walk
Enter from the main gate, see the Anti-French Hero Statue and Cunjin Bridge, walk around Moonshadow Lake and end with a photo at the Nine-hole Bridge. This is the best route if you want a calm walk and a little bit of historic atmosphere.
Half a day: the full park sequence
If you want to see the park properly, follow the main square, Cunjin Bridge, Moonshadow Lake, Nine-hole Bridge, Xianxi Garden and the Martyrs Cemetery before exiting through the west gate to Zhanjiang Museum. Families can also split the day between the children's park in the morning and the zoo in the afternoon.
Build your day
Put the bridge and lake first
The park's core is Cunjin Bridge and Moonshadow Lake, so once those make sense, the rest of the route becomes much easier to read. If you want lakeside photos, late afternoon light works best; if you just want a walk, the morning is quieter and more shaded.
Keep the zoo and garden as add-ons
The zoo and children's park are better treated as side options rather than the main line of the visit. What really deserves time is the chain of bridge, water, garden and memorial spaces, especially for visitors who prefer a calm walk.
Get there
Driving and taxis
Navigate to Cunjin Bridge Park. The parking at the gate and around the park is limited, and holiday congestion builds fast, so it is often easier to park in the bus parking lot opposite the park or at a nearby mall and walk in.
Bus and e-bike
Take a bus to Cunjin Bridge Park Station and enter directly from there. In central Chikan, a shared e-bike is the most flexible way to combine the park, the museum and the old street without wasting time on parking.
Know before you go
Mosquitoes, shade and safety
The park is heavily planted and mosquitoes are common, so repellent is essential. The lake and paths are also quite exposed, so sun protection is worth carrying. Xianxi Garden is darker and full of sculptures, which can feel a little eerie if you go alone, so daytime visits with company are easier.
Tickets, food and supplies
The zoo and amusement area charge separately, so budget and timing should be separated before you go. There are not many food options in the park itself, so bring water and snacks, then head straight to Chikan Old Street afterward for a proper meal.
