1 hour: building, first floor and stamp
Start with the Su-style facade, then visit the first-floor Anti-French Struggle exhibition, step out to the stone-dog garden and finish with the stamp point before leaving. This is the easiest route if you want a quick history stop and a photo of the building.
Half a day: the full museum loop
If you have more time, go floor by floor: first floor for anti-French struggle and revolutionary history, second floor for intangible heritage and folk customs, third floor for ceramics and bronze drums, and then the outdoor stone-dog garden and bonsai area. After that, continue to Cunjin Bridge Park and Chikan Old Street.

Start with the building, then the exhibits
The museum's Soviet-style main building is part of the experience, so take the photo first and then go inside. The stone dog array, puppet traditions and Donghai human dragon dance on the second floor are worth slowing down for, instead of treating each floor as a quick pass-through.
Do not miss the outdoor corners
The stone-dog garden and the bonsai area in the back are quiet parts of the site and work well as an outdoor pause. If you have time, you can see the museum as the start of a broader city history route that continues into Cunjin Bridge Park and the old street.
