Taihang Grand Canyon Scenic Area is in Shibanyan Town, Linzhou, Anyang. Set the destination to “Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon Tourist Center.” The tourist center is the main hub for Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road and Wangxiangyan, and the scenic transport system connects the three areas.
The adult pass costs about CNY 140 and includes admission to Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road and Wangxiangyan, plus the required CNY 60 internal transport fee. Visitors aged 60 and above, children under 1.4 metres, military personnel and people with disabilities may be exempt from the main admission fee but still pay the CNY 60 transport fee. The pass is usually valid for 48 hours.
The main areas are usually open about 08:00–17:30, with entry recommended before 16:00. Mountain roads and Shibanyan Town can become heavily congested during holidays, so drivers should plan around the road conditions.
How much time to allow
One day can cover Peach Blossom Valley and Taihang Sky Road. Peach Blossom Valley has streams, pools, waterfalls and relatively gentle paths, while Taihang Sky Road uses scenic transport to reach the mountaintop viewpoints. To add Wangxiangyan, plan 1.5–2 days and stay in or near Shibanyan Town.
The scenic area combines mountain paths, boardwalks and high viewpoints, so the physical demands vary. Peach Blossom Valley suits families and visitors looking for an easier walk; Wangxiangyan requires better knee and heart-and-lung fitness, as well as comfort with heights.

Peach Blossom Valley: streams, pools and gentler paths
Peach Blossom Valley follows streams, pools and waterfalls, with mostly gentle boardwalks. It suits older visitors, children, families and anyone who wants less climbing, and it can be the first outdoor section after arriving in the Taihang mountain area.
The main experience is walking beside the water and reading the shape of the canyon. In summer, carry water and use sun protection; in wet weather, watch for slippery surfaces and local changes in mountain conditions.
Taihang Sky Road: mountaintop viewpoints by scenic bus
Taihang Sky Road is on the mountain ridge, and visitors use a scenic sightseeing bus that stops at several viewpoints. It suits visitors who want to see the valleys and ridges without spending the whole route on continuous uphill walking, but getting on and off, waiting and walking around each viewpoint still take time.
The sightseeing bus is part of the required transport in the pass, and its route and stops follow the day's operation. During busy holidays, queues and road delays can shorten the time available at each viewpoint.
Wangxiangyan: the cliff ladder and mountain climb
Wangxiangyan focuses on mountain walking and the 89-metre-high Sky Cylinder Ladder. Attached to the cliff, the ladder moves slightly underfoot and creates a strong sense of exposure. It suits visitors with mountain-walking experience who are comfortable in high places.
Wangxiangyan demands more from the knees, heart and lungs, and overall fitness. The glass walkway, zipline and slide cost extra; confirm whether they are open and their price for the day rather than treating them as part of the basic pass.
Build your day
One day: Peach Blossom Valley and Taihang Sky Road
Enter through the Shibanyan Town Tourist Center, visit Peach Blossom Valley first, and then take scenic transport to Taihang Sky Road and its viewpoints. Peach Blossom Valley has a slower walking pace, while Taihang Sky Road relies mainly on the scenic bus. Together they suit first-time visitors or anyone with only one day.
In the afternoon, watch the last scenic transport and entry time. If you reach the area late, choose one main route rather than changing repeatedly between Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road and Wangxiangyan.
1.5–2 days: add Wangxiangyan
On the first day, visit Peach Blossom Valley and stay in Shibanyan Town; use the second day for Wangxiangyan. Taihang Sky Road can go on either day depending on the transport schedule and your energy. Wangxiangyan's mountain paths, cylinder ladder and extra activities add substantially to the effort, so its time cannot simply be added to the gentle Peach Blossom Valley walk.
If you have only half a day, choose Peach Blossom Valley or Taihang Sky Road as the main route. Wangxiangyan works better as a separate part of a complete itinerary, with scenic transport, parking and the mountain-road return all included in the timing.

Driving and the tourist center
Driving takes about 1.5 hours from Anyang and about 40 minutes from Linzhou. Set the destination to “Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon Tourist Center.” The tourist center organises transfers and entry for the three areas; once inside, follow the scenic transport route to Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road or Wangxiangyan.
During holidays, the roughly 20-km road from the expressway exit to Shibanyan Town may take 1.5–2 hours, and the town itself may be congested. On peak dates, arrive early and include parking, transfers and the return drive in the schedule.
Public transport and internal transport
From Anyang Bus Terminal, take a coach to Linzhou Bus Station, a journey of about one hour, then transfer to a scenic-area bus or take a taxi. At the tourist center, use the internal transport between Peach Blossom Valley, Taihang Sky Road and Wangxiangyan; the CNY 60 transport fee is a required part of the pass.
The roads, sightseeing buses and mountain paths connect into one operating system, so public-transport visitors should confirm the return service. Shibanyan Town, the tourist center and the three core areas are connected by scenic transport rather than one walkable area.

Fitness, weather and food
Peach Blossom Valley is relatively gentle, while Wangxiangyan includes climbing and high structures. Its cylinder ladder is about 89 metres high and moves slightly. Visitors who are afraid of heights or have knee or heart-and-lung limitations should choose Peach Blossom Valley or Taihang Sky Road and wear shoes suited to wet paths.
Food is limited inside Wangxiangyan and may cost more than in the town. Carry water and simple food before entering the mountain route. Shibanyan Town has accommodation and restaurants, and Red Flag Canal can be another Linzhou day trip; its tickets and transport are separate.
