How to Visit
1

Think of it as a weekend mountain-activity scenic area

Jiulong Mountain is not pure wilderness or a quiet old temple.

Tip:It combines Danxia-style slopes, stair hiking, glass walkways, cableways, and activity projects. It suits visitors who want a moderate climb, photos, and glass-bridge experiences.
2

Use the cableway for an easier visit

If you are traveling with older visitors or children, or you do not want to spend your energy on the uphill stairs, take the cableway up.

Tip:Then follow the route through the glass walkway, glass bridge, Jiulong Chan Temple, and Futian Pavilion.
3

Accept that hiking means many stairs

You can hike up without the cableway, but the route is mostly stairs.

Tip:In summer it can be hot, and you will need plenty of water. If your stamina is average, use the cableway or magic carpet uphill, then decide how much to walk down based on how you feel.
4

Treat the glass projects as optional experiences

The glass walkway and glass bridge are Jiulong Mountain's signature activities, but they are still activity-based experiences.

Tip:If you are afraid of heights, do not force it. With children, judge their comfort level first, and ask about photo or project fees before paying.
5

Do not confuse it with Dashuichuan

Jiulong Mountain is about rock scenery, gorge views, glass projects, and elevated viewpoints.

Tip:Dashuichuan is more about meadows, grassland activities, and summer cooling. They are in a similar travel direction, but the experiences are different, and doing both deeply in one day is rushed.
Highlights
  • Jiulong Mountain is good for Danxia-style slopes, gorge views, and glass walkway activities.
  • Futian Pavilion is the main point for broad valley views.
  • Jiulong Chan Temple adds a cultural pause to an activity-heavy mountain route.
  • Cableways, magic carpets, and glass projects let you adjust the difficulty.
  • It works well as a weekend trip from Baoji and does not need two full days.
Insider Tips

The mountain is not always cool in summer, so bring sun protection and enough water.

There are many stairs, so wear comfortable non-slip shoes rather than photo-only footwear.

Cableways, magic carpets, glass slides, and similar projects have separate costs.

Photos and framed pictures on the glass bridge may involve extra payment, so ask first.

If you also visit Dashuichuan on the same day, do not attempt the full hiking version of Jiulong Mountain.
