Themed lanes and courtyards
Hetao Intangible Cultural Heritage Town is in Group 2, Jinbu Village, Shuanghe Town, Linhe District. Public information describes nine themed lanes organized around the five elements and four seasons, with courtyards named for the 24 solar terms. It lists more than 20 venues for intangible heritage activities and study visits, including workshops for movable-type printing, Hetao paper-cutting, traditional dough figurine-making, and shadow puppetry. The lanes, courtyards, displays, and study programs form the main visit; venue openings depend on the day’s arrangements.
Check what is available that day
A venue appearing in project information does not mean every workshop opens daily. Confirm reservations, activity times, materials, and guide arrangements for your visit date. If only the market or displays are open, make it a walk through the district rather than assuming a particular printing, rubbing, or craft session will be available.
Weekday and weekend visits differ
The town may host study programs and weekend markets, camping, and barbecue events. A 2026 public event notice placed “Hetao Village Barbecue” at a camping site in Jinbu Village and said operating hours could change by season. This was event information for a particular period; it does not mean the whole town stays open every evening.

Choose your visit
A one-hour walk through the district
Check the day’s guide on arrival, visit an open themed courtyard or exhibition venue, and walk along the nearby lanes. If a workshop is receiving visitors, you can join one activity before returning the way you came. Allow about an hour for a quick look, choosing stops based on the signs and activity schedule.
A two- to three-hour craft visit
For a longer visit, explore the open courtyards and heritage displays, then choose one activity available that day, such as movable-type printing, paper-cutting, traditional dough figurine-making, or shadow puppetry. Finish at an open creative-products or local-produce market if available. Confirm session length, materials fees, and booking requirements first; each venue and activity has its own arrangements.
Add a weekend barbecue as a separate stop
If a current event notice confirms it is taking place that day, you can also visit the “Hetao Li” camping site for a village barbecue, market, or performance. Public reports from 2026 describe events on specific dates and seasonal schedules; they do not establish daily opening or a weekly evening program. Confirm fireworks, bonfires, live music, and return transport in the current notice.
Build your day
Start with daytime venues and crafts
If you want a study program or hands-on activity, confirm venue opening and booking requirements before planning your daytime visit. Current opening hours, admission fees, and workshop prices have not been consistently confirmed. Contact the venue before your visit, especially if you plan to join a hands-on activity. Do not assume a class or materials fee is included in admission.
Leave room for weekend events
Visit the lanes and workshops during the day. Add an evening barbecue, performance, or market only when a current notice confirms it. If an event is cancelled or closed, finish with the courtyards and venues open that day; do not cut into your return time while waiting for an evening program.
Get there
Navigate to Group 2, Jinbu Village
For easier navigation in Chinese map apps, search for “河套非遗小镇” (Hetao Intangible Cultural Heritage Town) and check that the destination is in Group 2, Jinbu Village, Shuanghe Town, Linhe District. On arrival, follow local signs or event directions to the display areas and workshops open that day.
Bus service and evening return
A city tourism account promoted free weekend bus trips to the town in July 2026, but the public text did not provide a reusable route, stop, or timetable. Check a current event notice or live map before travelling. If you attend an evening event, confirm the return bus, ride-hailing pickup point, and actual last service; do not assume shared bikes will be available nearby.
Know before you go
Admission, booking, and craft fees
No consistent, current public price list was found for town admission, reservations, or activities such as movable-type printing, paper-cutting, and rubbing. Before setting out, ask whether district admission, class registration, and materials are charged separately. Free access to the district does not mean that craft materials or a camping barbecue are free.
Respect the work and the site
Use only materials and tools provided at an open activity venue. For rubbing activities, use authorized replicas or practice materials; do not make rubbings from protected inscriptions, architectural features, or other cultural relics. For family activities, check the suitable age range and on-site guidance, then collect or carry your work as staff direct.
Pinpoint this separately from other Linhe stops
The town is in Jinbu Village; the wetland park’s map point is west of Jinchuan Bridge. Both belong to the wider Hetao tourism area, but that does not establish a shared entrance or a short walk between them. Check separate addresses for the Hetao Culture Museum and Natural History Museum. Nalin Lake, Sanshenggong, and the Hetao Agricultural Culture Expo Park in Wuyuan are in other county-level areas and need separate transport and supply plans.
